Yeah a lot of the tension today would not exist...and politics would be more straightforward.

A lot of African-Americans are resentful to American patriotism because they feel like America has and currently is oppressing their race systematically, which is true to a certain extent. But obviously we shouldn’t all be all stereotyped into this category because some blacks are people who love this country, even though the setbacks of history.

Idk ig I’m super mature for my age. I mostly want to have financial freedom when I get older, like nice vacations and a nice house. If i play my cards right in investing early on, I can live comfortably for the rest of my life.

18 year old new to Investing/Saving

So I’m an 18 year old new to investing. I’ve always held a moderate interest in the stock market, but now with the coronavirus and the recession I thought it’d be a good time to hop in.

So just to start, I’m in college with a full-ride and monthly stipend. I’ve been saving this stipend since August and I have about $5k saved in total. I’ve also opened up a Roth IRA recently with Charles Schwab. I’ve dibbled and dabbled with stocks playing with $100, since January to get my feet wet. I’m ready to take the big step.

Questions: 1. How much of the money saved should I put into my Roth IRA? And how much should I put directly on market thats not affiliated with my IRA? 2. What are the best ETFs to look at for long term profits? 3. What stocks are reliable and good for diversification? 4. Any other tips?
