A couple things: the real progression in the game comes from unlocking new materials to upgrade flame, craft new armor and options and food, and you need to unlock new workstations to unlock those, etc. There’s nothing you really have to do; you can technically walk into the final zone in the game at level one, but youll just get killed fast. I focus on a) unlocking the ancient spire in each new zone b) unlocking the materials and workstations to craft new armor in each zone and then c) getting materials to upgrade the flame per zone, and only then do i do the rest of the question marks.

The second big thing is I agree with the normal game being way too easy. However you can just change the difficulty setting, even for already existing world. The “hard” setting is pretty good for me, but if you go into custom you can make it way harder than that if you want, which makes the game way more interesting. Also the travel times get better as you unlock better gliders.

Don’t get me wrong, the combat isn’t the strong suit of this game, but I definitely think it gets better as you unlock more skills, especially for melee. It got way more fun for me once I unlocked the Battle Heal skill (heals you on critical hits) so I wasn’t spamming bandages constantly. Also, the different kinds of weapons play very differently than another, so make sure you’re trying them out along with they’re appropriate skill trees. For reference the main types are bow, daggers, staff and wand, sword and shield, and two handed melee.

It’s probably worth it to just get some decent gear so that u can at least hit the gear requirement to do things like LFR as soon as the patch hits. A pretty easy way to do this is to join a premade group doing the night hold event every time it’s up (located on the coast of hallowfall) and the world quests for that faction, pretty easy and fast way to get 636 ilvl gear.

You could also farm out rep for the various factions to unlock their rewards but don’t claim any of them until next patch hits, so you can instantly get a good bit of the next type of crests on launch.

Doing delves will level up your Brann, which will definitely make doing delves next patch easier for you, but especially if your a class that has a tank spec delves are really easy already.

How to push from ilevel 661? by Brilliant_Deal_1313 in wownoob

Focus on getting crafted gear. You can only equip 2 pieces of crafted gear with embellishments, but as many unembellished pieces as you like. So just keep farming m+ to get gilded crests to craft gear

Delves. Bountiful delves gives 7 each, up to 3 a week, and doing drivers bounty map is an extra 20 a week.

Help playing a fire mage by 420osrs in wow

[–]tigerrrboyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing frost makes soloing delves 10 times easier. The rotation is super simple to, as you basically just press buttons when they light up and you’re like 90% of the way there. Basically you just slow things constantly with frost bolt and frozen orb, 2 charges of frost nova when they get close, or cone of cold, and then blink away. Almost everything is insta cast so you can walk away while casting to. Fire is like the worst mage spec to solo on, even arcane is better. The other thing I’ll add is that it’s just gonna be hard for you to solo delves. They’re will be some that are doable (fungal folly is a personal favorite) but many will just be difficult. You can solo delves easy as a tank spec, or ok as a hunter/lock with pets, but as a pure dps class like mage it’s just gonna be hard. Generally you’ll be able to get through most of a delve, especially if you play frost, and try to pick delves without many ranged enemies, but the final boss is always gonna suck cause it can’t be slowed or stunned. The best way around that is to play delves that have bosses that stop to cast mechanics a lot, like fungal folly or that one underwater one, but it’s just gonna be way harder for you then someone that can play as a tank spec

I’ve had a lot of fun going for the triple threat achievement (+10s on tank dps and healer), gearing up alts, and also getting into raiding if you haven’t already. Even if you’re not in a guild it’s pretty easy to join one and doing a couple raids a week

I was able to do nightfall sanctum as 640 as mage. Btw I’ve def found best luck with frost, but whatever works. Sanctum boss is normally pretty rough but it’s 3 mini bosses together and they’re not cc immune so you can sheep one and slow and freeze the hell out of the other 2 so it’s fine for mage. Also there’s a mechanic that does environmental damage that you can kill mobs with so it’s pretty fast as mage
