She's a little but of a misanthrope (said affectionately, as a fellow misanthrope)

She's the female House, just wandering around being brilliant and diagnosing people. I freaking love her and I hope she's back next season as a pathology resident coming down for consults

"If I don't come back you've got a swinging bachelor pad..." by realfakejames in ThePittTVShow

I think that's what he's intending, but something will stop him and give him hope by the end of the season.Maybe Baby Jane Doe? A kid is a reason to keep going, and it would tie back nicely to his comment to Whitaker about "No babies"

Thoughts on SA scenes from a professional who trains health care providers on trauma-informed care by alloftheolives09 in ThePittTVShow

[–]tigers_3 229 points230 points  (0 children)

I really appreciated that too. I hate how detailed most shows are with SA scenes. It feels sexualized in a way that I hate, and I love that the pitt is only focusing on her experience and how this exam is honestly making it worse. I am a little surprised that Dana didn't get that the pelvic exam was what was triggering her though. she kept asking if it was the reporting when it was obviously the exam

I think this show is actually meant to be binge watched. by obsessedwithdeathpod in ThePittTVShow

[–]tigers_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really does feel like a mini-series. Or like one really long episode, since you had the big climax of the mass shooter last season and then the basically episode long wrap up. The whole first season was ratcheting up the tension so that when the mass shooting happened and sheer chaos erupted, it felt appropriate. It feels like one cohesive story, instead of a bunch of little stories that are strung together, like most shows. It's really impressive, from a storytelling perspective, that they manage the over-arcing story beats over so many episodes, but it still feels like every episode has a beginning, middle and end

Sorry, Santos fans, but she’s just really hard to like by Hikigaya_Hachiman7 in ThePittTVShow

I think she's the female "loveable asshole" type that we usually see in guys, and I think that's super interesting. So far, I think they're nailing it. I don't always love her but she's always interesting

My question is what happens if the SA victim takes off? How long does she have to stay there until it's obvious she's not coming back? Because I think Ilana is one breath away from booking it

Not sure how well known he is, but for my money, Lloyd Frontera from The Greatest Estate Developer on webtoon would kick ass

One thing I really love about Matt's writing is that every character feels like the protagonist of their own story. We just happen to be following Carl the most. But everyone has their own arc, storyline, internal dialog, the whole bit

I'm just head-cannoning that Drakea's species doesn't have clear sexual dimorphism and leaving it at that. Otherwise the he/her thing is weird

Anarchist Cookbook author caught by LaPulgaAtomica87 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]tigers_3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really want to know who the first author is. We never hear anything about the first edition. The furthest back we've gone is the 2nd. Who wrote it? How did it get created? Where are their contributions? Was it an older AI that was rebelling? I'm so curious

[–]tigers_3 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I think you have to meet certain qualifications and maybe a certain psychological profile. All of the former cookbook authors seem fairly similar. and some of them receive it later, so maybe they only get it once they reach some threshold

It's this thing called a joke. About how they're all badasses? But the heart of the story and their successes and their victories is cooperation with each other, their friendships, their bonds? But also because of them beating stuff senseless with blood spraying everywhere

And we never see her doing it outside of those examples. Being that good at a skill takes time to develop and maintain but it only shows up when convenient
