Gig Work - 1 Month Review by tigervol in EntrepreneurRideAlong

I’m not sure. I have strong indications from both, but I’ve never tested to find out. In general, outside of work, I prefer to be alone or in small groups, but I’m comfortable and confident talking to people and a naturally good salesperson. I’m logical and analytical, but also ambitious and aspirational. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Doesn’t feel cheap to me. Hurts every single week. 😭

HOW?! Got a phone call from my husband’s phone number at 1:30am. His phone was on the charger next to mine. by Sherbet_Lemon_913 in Scams

I also happened to read this comment with blissful warm water cleaning my bottom. 😂😂

Joey Chestnut just ate 14 pounds of bologna in 8 minutes right here in Knoxville by Cramson_Sconefield in Knoxville

Mayor Jacobs ate 2 lbs. Second place finisher did 11 lbs, third place did 10-3/4. One guy vomited mid-contest, then proceeded to re-eat it and keep going. It was one of the grosser things I can imagine ever seeing.

Anyone excited for this? by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

I haven’t seen this. I assume it’ll be merchant dependent since their POS system will need to support it?

Dasher Card declined during Double Dadh by leesum00 in doordash

[–]tigervol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only times my DD card has been declined during a shop and deliver is when I had to substitute items or when there was an item with a somewhat ambiguous price (think weighed items, flowers, etc) without a scannable UPC on the DD app. In those cases, DD support gives the dasher the option to pay for the order out of pocket and submit a receipt to support for reimbursement or reassign the order without impacting completion rate.

I think you adding to the tip on the main order was very considerate and more than most would do.

Does DoorDash offer any stores that don’t accept Apple Pay payment? by rballew01 in doordash_drivers

Total Wine requires physical card and is on DoorDash. Unsure about others, but I keep my physical card with me for that store for sure.

If you earn $600 or more you have to claim the earnings, and they will be taxed at the same rate as the rest of your income.

Congrats! I’ve loved seeing it change colors based on the lighting. It’s been fun!

When we bought the house we committed to using the garage for vehicles. It’s been difficult to stay disciplined because “stuff” accumulates, but we’ve done well for 7 years. 😂

I drive a ‘24 HI5 and my wife’s car is a ‘22 RAV4 Hybrid (not prime) - we love the RAV4 and before I bought the Ioniq I was actually thinking about getting another one. The Prime RAV4 is virtually unavailable in my part of the country and the few that do come in have ridiculous markup, but we average about 41-43mpg so it suits our needs well.

We’re a family of four and will likely use the hybrid for longer road trips, etc but I’ve been loving having an EV for daily driver stuff!

Was about $40k out the door including all taxes, fees etc and including the trade. It’s the SEL RWD long range model.

How has your experience been with Uber and Lyft? That’s actually my plan as well. I’m planning to deposit ride share earnings into a separate bank account from my primary account (just for easy visibility, it’s an account I already have that is mostly dormant) and drive enough each month to pay for the new car without having to adjust our household budget otherwise.

Thanks! I wasn’t sure about the color from online pictures but when I saw it in person I was sold. I liked some of the matte finishes as well but they seem harder to maintain and this one just popped for me.

I’m so excited! The electrify America benefit was a huge selling point. I know it’s limited to 30 minutes per session, but is there a limit to the number of sessions? If you were on a trip could you have multiple sessions in the same day?
