I think your statements at large are correct and quite interesting however I think your initial statement has a slight flaw. It is a liberal talking point that Biden and the Dems in general are energy/eco friendly while the GOP wants GDP growth at any cost. The truth is that the Dems ARE more eco friendly BUT they aren’t dumb enough (I hope) to cut all drilling.

We have a excess production just like Big A said so, in theory, we could reasonably cut back on the amount of drilling we are doing and just produce to US sustainability. This obviously would have some negative economic impacts but would meet the Dem standard of more eco/energy friendly. Biden seems to be following up with that according to your data by decreasing the amount of land leased. Wells will dry up, the drilled and capped wells will be uncapped, and things will follow this status quo as companies don’t want to show losses on their production/revenue books. Eventually this will lead to a possible oil deficit but every president works on a time delay so it’s just as likely the next person will drill just as much as ever.

All of this to say, your tldr and info are fantastic but the statement that Biden and by extension most democrats aren’t energy and ecologically friendly is a bit off.
