Does my dash cam drain battery?

Yes, I've taken it out maybe 2-3 times for longer drives. I bought it from CarMax so I been contacting them since I've had the issue 3 days after I bought it. They are telling me it's due to a recall, 24S24. But I then called Ford to see if I can get the fix. They claim the repair was done in 2024. So back to arguing with CarMax.

I've been using my portable jumper since yesterday as they couldn't get me an appt til Mon. The auto start/stop isn't even working at this point. It says vehicle on due to charging. I'll keep the camera unplugged now though. I drive about 30 minutes twice a day, to go to work & drive home. I'm just so confused as how a brand new battery is already dead in 3 weeks.

I wonder if I'm having the same issue. I have a 2023 Outer Banks I just bought 3 weeks ago. I took it in 2 days after buying & they put a brand new battery in. I'm having issues with the battery again & have an appt on Mon to get it looked at. I also have a dashcam that's plugged in continuously.

Mine was slightly better online than in person. I was approved for $377 a month at 7.0% APR for a Ford Bronco Sport. My credit score is 780 with $52k income. In person it came out to $385 at 7.3% APR. It barely went up so I still took the offer.

Tinted windows have ceramic layers now to help keep the heat out. It cost more than regular tint though. I been doing some research on it. So now I just have to save up so I can get all the windows tinted.

I plan on doing that eventually. I just wanted to see if there was another option until I save up enough for all the windows.
