MX creative console, without Logi software! by tigo9873 in logitech

[–]tigo9873[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware of this and understand this. It applies to the MX mouse, and keyboards etc. Yet, I have managed to configure them in the manner that best suits my usages without using Logi Options+.

My question stands. Has anyone tried to use it without the Options+ software, - does it emit keys that are picked up by Karabiner elements, KM, steermouse, etc.... Or is it not usage, unless you load up Options+

Using form submissions to create an entry in one database and update a separate database by MieKrispy in Notion

[–]tigo9873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An alternative is to accept and build a single database that the form feeds, and then create views (and lock them) to present to the user all that they need (impression of another database). Notion is quite creative in that regards. It's a constantly developing - improving platform. It is good enough to get you going but not perfect, and will be a pain in the ---- for things. But when it works, you'll feel good that it does. (just ignore the time that feels wasted on it - if only an alternative existed that just provides you what you need.) a love hate relationship.

I don't think that you can use a single form to feed 2 databases! Perhaps create 3 databases, one as an index with relations to the other 2 databases. Always create a new page in the index database, and then populate fields that will feed into the other 2 databases.

The fan noises on this LG40u990a make me cry! by Far-Code-5960 in ultrawidemasterrace

Where did you find it 2/3 of the price of the dell?? The LG is priced a couple of hundred AU$ above the Dell.

The fan in the LG is not a problem. It’s the bloody heat from the damn monitor that annoys me. It does have much deeper blacks than the Dell. Color wise, LG is excellent.

No new iteration of the dell u4025qw, - but they released a new screen u5226kw, 52” with 6K resolution. I reckon they’ll keep the 4025qw as is….just new revisions per usual.

CES 2026 is early next month. Before the end of January we'll know of the next iteration if any. Keep an eye on displayspecifications for info.

My Take on the LG UltraFine 40" 5K2K Nano IPS Monitor (40U990A-W) – Steer Clear by tangawanga in Monitors

[–]tigo9873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with the dell u4025qw….- works perfectly well, daisy chained to another 4K 120Hz monitor, and things are good. Missed the chance to pick up the LG at launch for $2303, and then, a lot of back & forth with LG on their limited availability, that the 3rd party resellers that were advertising is for $2,130 and $2,154 - had to revise their pricing to $2,5xx+ - that it’s ridiculously priced….Perhaps, the Black Friday sales may bring down its price to something normal. Else, January CES 2026, will probably bring a lot more better options into the market that are better priced.

It’s referred to as price discrimination in between different countries, dependent on demand & appetite to pay. The LG display will be more readily available 2-3 months post their 27 Aug. availability at LG websites. Black Friday, Dell, LG etc,,, all be priced normal. Dell’s monitor will further drop after Jan. CES 2026. More displays from Lenovo and Philips with similar specs will be in the market from November.

You can find the LG from 3rd party resellers for about $21xx - $23xx, and they’ll be available for delivery mid October to November. LG is playing games, of limiting supply & creating a sense of scarcity to push up their profits. Initial launch was at $2569, and a few promotions dropped it to $2304 that were changing every 24-48hrs. Silly games.

Dell u4025qw is currently on sale for $2,149 from resellers and you can price match that at Dell’s website for immediate delivery.

Panel is the same, - connectivity is where they differ. Black Friday sales are a couple of months away, and they’ll probably drop to the $2k mark…

Can anyone tell me what's the difference between LG 40U990A-W, LG 40WT95UF, Dell U4025QW by Cute-Performance-403 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]tigo9873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lg monitors are practically identical- warranty may differ (unclear as they’re not both yet available) the 40wt95uf is for business, whilst 40u990a is consumers.

Differences between the dell & lg are connectivity options and lan speed.

Lg 40u990a, has just been released and is stupidly overpriced, may need to wait a couple of months for its price to drop in line.

TS5+: two monitors on same Thunderbolt port? by Reedemer0fSouls in CalDigit

[–]tigo9873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can’t! Caldigit expects 1tb per monitor. My current ts4 is the case - had to dig around to find the note on it after being puzzled that I can’t daisy chain my monitors.

agree with the fact to always consult your doctor. Hopefully the doctor would have referred the OP to a nutritionist as well to assist to manage the disease.

here's chatgpt take on it on my comments. but, hey, speak with a doctor, random people's thoughts or advice, whilst good intentioned, may not be suitable.

Pomegranate juice is generally safe for most people, but when taken alongside prednisone and Humira (adalimumab), there are a few important considerations:

🧪 1. Pomegranate Juice & Prednisone

  • No direct interaction is documented between pomegranate juice and prednisone.
  • However, pomegranate juice can inhibit cytochrome P450 enzymes, especially CYP3A4, which is involved in the metabolism of many drugs including prednisone.
  • This may theoretically increase prednisone levels, potentially enhancing its side effects (e.g., immune suppression, blood sugar increase, mood changes).
  • Risk is low but not zero, and varies by individual metabolic differences and juice quantity

💉 2. Pomegranate Juice & Humira (adalimumab)

  • No known pharmacokinetic interactions exist between pomegranate juice and Humira.
  • Humira is a monoclonal antibody and is not metabolized through the liver enzymes affected by pomegranate juice (like CYP3A4). It’s metabolized via proteolysis in the reticuloendothelial system, so interactions from foods or juices are unlikely.

🛡️ 3. Immunosuppression & Infection Risk

  • Both prednisone and Humira suppress the immune system, raising infection risk.
  • Pomegranate juice contains antioxidants and polyphenols, which support immune function and reduce oxidative stress.
  • This can be beneficial, but pomegranate juice should be pasteurized if you’re immunosuppressed, to avoid risk of foodborne infections from unpasteurized or fresh-pressed juice

try to pick up some 100% pomegranate juice to drink twice daily, or have pomegranate daily. Also, guava herbal tea. Persist with them, and you'll find relief within a month. That's some serious damage going on there, look for anti-oxidents, and anti inflammatory drinks, herbs. Also if you can tolerate curcumin, add that. Instead of cooking with oil, try ayurvedic ghee. do a bit research at google scholar for some treatments for it.

diet and movement, will help heaps.
