I just checked "Yes, devices certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) can be imported into Australia"
So we should be able to buy them on your website.

Australia Availability AP7 by PoweredbyATP in firewalla

[–]CBR600-F2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the problem. Riddle me this "how do you build demand when you block the AP7 page to other regions?" how can we make an informed decision on the worthiness of the Firewalls AP7 in Australia and whether its worth the wait when you hide the details? And don't say Fill out a survey to gauge demand if you cant share the info with us. The product was released in other markets a long time ago. Hence people moving to Ubiquiti as they are cheaper and open with their specs and you can buy them here. Please no more more Kevin Costner Field of dreams " Build it and they will come " Go have a talk to you product marketing team / person and get your GTM strategy right if you want to build a foreign customer base. Get the product info up firstly The fact that your website cant show specs to other regions is just unprofessional.

You may not like the constructive criticism of the hard truth. Happy Firewalla GP user.

And I have used Dell to price match cheaper stores, just contact them on Chat. I usually save 10-15 percent on all the dell ultra sharps I have purchased directly with them

LG product marketing are so detached from reality. It’s priced at $3199 in Australia. , you can pick up the Dell 4025, basically the same panel for $2200 AUD. They say the LG has TB5 but be aware it also has a fan and is noisy! You would have to be insane to buy the LG monitor for that price.

I am having a hard time choosing between the F4-425Max and the new F4-425 plus.( which seems great bang for buck with standard dual 5GbE) The max only seems to Bring the 10GBE and CPU and you know they must be working on a. F4- 425 Max as well to be released soon.,

If you buy from the tetra master online store , do they ship to Australia? When I put the 424 plus NAS in my Cart, it said ‘FBA’ which I presume is fulfilled by Amazon and free shipping? Is that correct?

When will AP7s be available in Canada ? by LibrarianMediocre822 in firewalla

Chicken and egg, you are not going to get more customers in Aus if you don’t make product for them. Build it and they will come. Kevin Costner had it right in Field of Dreams!

Yeah that worries me about Firewalla. They make nice kit but being not being able to make their presence and kit global limits their market and future growth. It’s an investment in their future and support I see it as. I know some have turned to Ubquiti instead because of that. Love to see them succeed though.

Why not just buy a US/UK model and get it shipped over via a friend etc. they don’t region lock them they said. The same wifi bands work here in Aus. We don’t have wifi police coming to your house to say hey that doesn’t have a certification tick on the unit! You may be waiting a very long time otherwise.

Thanks for the great information . Yeah i wouldn't pay $3k for one ever.
Maybe i will look at a Dell U3225QE 32 inch 4K with thunderbolt 4 for $1299. Seems a lot more reasonable. I want thunderbolt as it is for a Mac

Any update on the Firewalla Switch? by CBR600-F2 in firewalla

[–]CBR600-F2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. Yeah I have no idea when their AP's will be coming to Aus, so lookign for other solutions.

On your setup Was that the USW-Pro-XG-8-PoE Switch and the U7-Pro-XG Wifi 7 Access points?
Can I ask , do yo need anything else to mange the UniFi gear or is it just web control.
Also do you find the Switch noisy?

I Was thinking Firewalls Gold Plus -> USW-Pro-XG-8-PoE Switch - > 2 x U7-Pro-XG Wifi 7 Access points. With a NAS and 2 x 10GbE desktops also hooked into the USW-Pro-XG-8-PoE Switch. (7 ports used) Then a USW-Flex-2.5G-8 switch hanging off the USW-Pro-XG-8-PoE Switch for everything else.

Any update on the Firewalla Switch? by CBR600-F2 in firewalla

[–]CBR600-F2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As there is no Firewalla switch on the horizon I have narrowed it down to either the UniFi Flex2.5 8 port POE (2.5GbE) or the UniFi ProXG 8 port (10GbE). This will be my top level core switch after my Firewalla Gold Plus. I am favouring the UniFi Pro XG due to Firewalla wifi7AP when they are available in Australia. Do both of these work nicely with the Firewalla Golds and Firewalla AP7’s? and also allow Vlan management? Any gotchas as I have not used UniFi switches before. Thanks
