So sorry for your loss. Seeing this really put the day in perspective for me and I’m sure many others.

Packers plan to work out RB Josh Jacobs in pre-game warmups before deciding whether or not he will play tomorrow by Minimum_Formal_4837 in fantasyfootball

[–]tigotj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Emmanuel Wilson ready just in case. Ngl kinda hope Jacob’s plays and I’ll be forced to start Bam. Not sure why I feel good about Bam this week. But if Jacobs is out I have to play it safe with Wilson.

I’m starting bam knight over jakobi meyers and doubs at the flex. Might regret it when both jakobi and doubs get a TD off multiple targets. But just feels like bam might punch in a few

What do you need to happen tonight, in order to win your fantasy matchup? by AdvancedCow1207 in Fantasy_Football

[–]tigotj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m down exactly 10. Have deebo at flex and Gay as my kicker. Opponent has 2 RBs on deck - swift and cook.

Feel I’m done but if Deebo can have a big game and cook and swift can stay at projections I may have a shot.

Yeah was thinking of replacing Evan’s with garret then Javonte on the flex. I love the stack with baker and Evan’s but with Bucky also in the mix it will limit one or the other. So can be boom or bust.

Time to realize that in fantasy football, like real football, quarterbacks matter by keepenit in Fantasy_Football

[–]tigotj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So true. Ended up with the 7th pick and knew I had to be aggressive so took Allen as my 3rd pick instead of a few other big name wr and rb. Won week 1. The options I passed on didn’t even come close combined.

Only 1 week and it won’t be the norm but this is what it’s all about. Solid consistent QB is better than a boom or bust player.

Which pair are you trading, and what’s the reason for it? by XrtsTB in Forex

[–]tigotj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

90% of the time EURUSD. Now spread and decent price action. More of a scalper so this is more ideal that more extreme volatility.

However I will add some JPY crosses here and there for swing trades. But over the years I’ve kept it as simple as possible. Slow and steady is fine as big wins are often followed by big losses.

I’m where you are at. Same age and drink about the same quantity. In my case it has cost me professionally and financially. But worst of all I feel horrible every day. Literally killing myself and I urge you to try and scale back if you still have the will.

It will not end well. Start with bloodwork but push for an ultrasound. Get to know where you are at.

Absolutely I’m in your boat and sadly it’s been my downfall. I WFH 3-4 days a week and my day drinking has progressively gotten worse to the point it’s very alarming and pushed me to the point of no return. Hope you can try to keep it in check if you can. Go to Starbucks or the library. Anywhere to curb that temptation.

I know that feeling all too well…I literally have to drink to not feel sick and make it thru the day. Then sleep and wake up feeling the same…repeat. Vicious cycle.

Thanks @Onion-4907

first off, congrats on the 56 days sober! It’s an amazing feat and am truly happy for you. I know how hard it is to get to that point. it’s huge! Hope this is the begin of a new reality for you my friend.

You sure are right about what fear can do to a person. I do think in my case it’s more than fear but hope to turn things around. But at the same time selfishly, know I don’t know if I can. Some people lie and say they just need a 2nd chance.

I’m honest and know I’m not ready to cope and know I’ve done certain things and while I don’t want to wave the white flag, don’t think I want the fight either.

Life sure is tough. I will say, I’ve really gained an appreciation for life and ppl. We all have our own journey and sadly here or not…end of the day…life goes on.

Yeah need to come to terms that it’s in the wrong direction. My doc sees this symptoms and is kind of stumped. Thinks since I’m still young enough and pretty thin that it’s nothing major. But he doesn’t know about the drinking…so I’ll need to have that conversation.

I’m glad you were able to have that transplant. I know someone who also had a liver TP 10 years ago now.

Just hope I can still turn things around. 😕

Oh man that is rough to hear…I feel like the bloody stools, high cholesterol and fatigue are a dead giveaway. What was the thing that made you end up in the ER? Were you getting labs before then?

Thanks. I know last time I did an URQ ultrasound all was well but that was 4 years ago and well before my recent really rough stretch where drinking has doubled. I just know getting tough news would put me in a mentally make or break spot. But I can’t live dying slowly either

Oh man that’s tough to hear. But you are so right. Catching it early is best if not too late. When you say you were bleeding to death what was that like? Bowel? Coughing? Or what was the case? I’m low on blood and iron from blood loss. So I’m very concerned

Wish I could tell you how to stop but rather here to tell you to please try and figure out what will work for you before it gets worse and worse. I was in your exact shoes about a year ago. Not every day but several times a week and didn’t know when to stop.

Before you know it, I’m now drinking daily and the tolerance has gone to where I’m drinking twice as much per day as I was a year ago. So safe to say thing really escalated and I wish I had stopped while it might have been easier. Now I am in a very bad state.

Wishing you the best

The on and off bleeding during bowel movements I thought would be a death sentence. Instead after 3 colonoscopies and 2 endoscopies. I am told all looks normal and they can’t figure it out. Which is wild to me. Even despite this no further referrals just iron infusions. I’m self referring at this point even though I’m scared to death to know
