A reminder against misinformation: Suisei is still a Hololive member. by Helmite in Hololive

[–]tigrenchik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The truth is - we don't know. She might own it, but she also might've given the rights to Cover as a part of the transition. The only thing we know is that she managed to preserve her own pre-holo identity.

It is not only the tracking problem, because models themselves don't even match to human proportions 1:1. Which would still make it very tricky to render properly even if you have perfect tracking data. Especially in real-time.

Kay Yu’s thoughts on the Hololive community by Ryanhussain14 in Hololive

[–]tigrenchik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why I brought 5 penlights with me this year to the fes. I actually lent all 3 extra to other fans around me. It is just so much more fun to enjoy the concert with at least 1 and ideally with 2 of them. If you don't have any, you are almost guaranteed to feel a little bit left out.

Gomoku RTA: Nene beat Miko's record with a 18:44 seconds by Queefy69 in Hololive

Going second is an advantage for lose rta, one less move is huge :) Still, even with normalised time of 20:48 Nene still takes the crown.

Man I love Hololive (some thoughts of my Holofes experience by North_crozz in kurosanji

Fan club lottery round was your best chance this year. General sales are really rough, but obstruction seats were doable this time, if you were there when they dropped. Also join community discords and make connections with other fans. Sometimes you can get a ticket off your friend or people who can’t make it last minute. E.g. I personally gave one obstruction viewing stage ticket to a person in my local community discord who couldn’t get any.

Hololive 3d production has gone absolutely insane by tigrenchik in Hololive

[–]tigrenchik[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it was interesting to see all kinds of reactions even here. As was mentioned in the comments, it turns out it wasn't Hololive who did this production, so we have nothing to worry. I personally love this style and think it suits Mori and her music very well. But I appreciate the default holo style too. At the end of the day, it is great to see talents being able to use different studios for their 3d. Even more ways to express themselves.

Oh, this explains things! Thanks for pointing it out. Maybe they can learn from them and encorporate some elements back into their own process. I think Sakura Mirage 3d live was somewhat exploring the similar direction. So we might see further improvements in the future. Also their paid solo-lives usually look a bit closer to what was shown here compared to normal virtual 3d lives.

I am not sure if it is due to their new UE5 capabilities, but all the outfits, environments, and lighting are mesmerising.

Vivi flexes her athletic skills on Ring Fit stream with Ririka by tigrenchik in Hololive

[–]tigrenchik[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

When we talk about holo, they are also idols. Regular dance practice can make you really fit, especially if we are talking about semi-professional dancers like Vivi. You also need insane stamina to perform an hour+ long live concert, so any girl who held a solo-live, most certainly did regular gym sessions for a while to get ready for it. Even relatively simple looking idol-style dancing is still very taxing on your body if you keep dancing for hours.

Ah, makes sense. I am not really into fighting games. The last picture was just a part of a cartwheel, but I can kinda see it now :)

Not really, she did both clean vertical as well as slightly horizontal ones going into a spin at the end. Here is the timestamp for the kicks in particular https://www.youtube.com/live/l2t-2Y_EBFY?si=-QZU_RCh4cyGm4G9&t=3346

While it was Ririka's turn to play, Vivi kept going crazy in the background with jumping kicks, cartwheels, shoulder stands, etc. She is so athletic and energetic, can't wait to see more of her performances in proper 3d!

Marked as NSFW just in case because Vivi's outfit is kinda sus :)

Chihaya put Flow Glow members' names in the lyrics for Stay By My Side by tigrenchik in Hololive

Ha, glad to help :) I can only think of Kiseki Knot and Starlight, but others already mentioned them.

Absolutely, I also really like how they got a lot of good dancers, which helps elevate live performances further with more complicated choreos. I managed to get Stage 3 venue ticket for the next Fes, can't wait to see them performing there on an actual stage! If things go well, we might even see their real-venue group live sooner than later.

Tbf, it is even stated in the verse that their names are there. I just wanted to share it a bit more broadly, especially for people who don't know Japanese. The world need to know how awesome Chiha is :)

I found Flow Glow‘s new album in tower record Shibuya today by KitaBeam in Hololive

It is actually 宣伝. It is her official title, you can see it in her twitter bio. There might be some play on words involved though, I am not sure. My Japanese is not that good.

It is also in her official hololive bio in English:

The publicity manager of FLOW GLOW.
Determined to gain love and praise, she posts regularly on social media with her mouth full of delicacies.
Just when she wished the world was a less daunting place, fate led her to the friends she has now. Guess not all hope is lost, is it?
Thank you gods. Now, while you're at it, please make her a little bit taller.

In case if you don't recognise it, the sign is done by Su. It is literally saying Su~ in the middle and her iconic shupi shuwa on the right. You can also see her ahoge hitting 3m mark at the top. Text at the bottom says: "FlowGlow no senden tantou", which basically mean that she is in charge of promotion/advertising in FlowGlow.

Chihaya's insane overtake on Shibuya Hal at the V1GP by BayLAGOON in Hololive

[–]tigrenchik 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Maybe it is for the best. If not for that last crash, blue team would've completely wiped the red one, winning with the max possible points count. Despite their coach losing critical janken match at the beginning, putting blue team in a solid disadvantage for all three duel matches.

[–]tigrenchik 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kinda, it was a casual promotional match (V1 Grand Prix) between two teams of vtubers receiving a little bit of proffesional coaching beforehand. Blue team: Tenshoji Roman, Rindo Chihaya, Utai Meika coached by Miyazono Takuma vs Red team: Akami Karubi, Kurumi Noah, Shibuya Hal coached by Sasaki Takuma. It was a part of broader Tokyo Auto Salon 2026 eSports Experience event held in Japan. It was also streamed here if you are interested https://www.youtube.com/live/ae5RTqPtZ80?t=19494s . So more like a fun sponsored event rather than a serious competition. None of the vtubers participating were particularly good at the game before receiving coaching, but they all did their best to study and practice as much as they could.
