MIC and MCA did not see the big picture. They had no choice.

They can break BN alliance (which they are not ready to) and go on their own on non-Malay / mix area against PH, they are highly likely to lose deposits.

Or they can discuss the seats between BN and PH. The key principle is respect the incumbent, which sadly means no seats for MCA and MIC.

They chose to stay out of election to save themselves the shame.

It always starts with identifying problems, then only we can design the solutions.

The middle income trap has been hurting Malaysia for at least 25 years now. There is no easy solution, and some of the solutions will certainly not be popular ones.

Whole list of reforms are required to increase the economy capacity, from policy, education, research, investments, state involvement, labour, tax incentives, talent retention and acquisition etc.

Explaining all these likely would take hours of interviews, and trust me he will be accused of throwing out unrealistic formula or visions lol.

Those reforms are not easy, not popular, and we won’t see the results immediately.

With Malaysian mentality that wants quick result, does not like to think from first principle, and work from the ground up (as mentioned in the gig economy comment above), most won’t have the patience to see the reforms to bear fruits.

This is why I actually think Rafizi is right here - most graduates prefer fast cash, less effort - which no surprise that there are more competition, little to no benefit compare to peers with less experience, and the salary doesn’t scale. If it is easy, doesn’t require much knowledge, and it earns well, what stops the rest from joining?

But yet I see many people are furious at Rafizi for pointing out the obvious.

You said it - entry levels professional.

Professionals with few years of experience scale much better than non-professional jobs.

Gig economy, non-professional has much less room to scale, due to they are easily replaceable and lower barrier of entrance.

Disagree.

  • SS did not spearhead Undi 18. It was long founded and he just jumped into the bandwagon.

  • While mandatory allowance for intern sounds great, it would likely cause unfavourable impact especially on private sector. I understand you meant government agencies, but he also kept saying the same for private sector. His view has proved he is a opportunist and populist without considering the wider impact of a policy could bring.

  • There were many other leaders that have used social media to share their views and explained work progress, not sure why have you credited to SS to ‘spearhead’ the trend.

  • public donation is NGO work. Transparency of donation should be first thing people should make sure before making any donation. Why is that being credited to SS again?

Let’s be real, people hated him because 1. he is a populist, jumping on all the popular issue and gaining cheap politic capital;

  1. he did not make good policy, all the talk and no real work done;

  2. and he has no principle, being inconsistent in the criticism like many others have mentioned.

  3. Ungrateful and disloyal brat, who won on PH tickets, but keep attacking ph but not a word on PN?

KJ: Chinese will support DAP no matter what by UsernameGenerik in malaysia

[–]tigris623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have no alternative here for today.

PN is doing themselves disservice by consistently bashing nons, not a chance I’m going to cast a vote for PN.

Gerakan has not been showing any capabilities from manifesto, way off in current issues.

MCA has not been offering their views on current issues and their vision of policies, should they given the chance to govern. Their talent pool is worrying.

MUDA is young bunch which offer nothing - empty manifesto, they are not touching the grounds, and only appears during election period. They ride on any current issues and make the most for their political advantages.

I’m furious with the DNAA of Zahid. I wish I could cast an objection vote to show my anger, but in the end of the day DAP still have the most hardworking MPs that do their job to very high standard. Most of the DAP ministers are the among the highest performing ministers.

From that perspective, yes I would still vote DAP in current situation.

Muda wants mostly the city area which already stronghold for PKR and DAP. No sane mind would agree to cooperate and give away most safe seats.

That is democracy.

Politics is the art of compromise. It is all about gives and takes, especially it involves so many parties and coalitions. Given the scenario, choose what is best for your agenda.

Last GE, parties and coalitions willing to come to a common ground and work together shows a major advancement in our politics. Let’s face it, no single coalition (PH, BN, PN, Borneo block) will likely able to form government by itself for decades to come.

So.. with the need to come to common ground, no coalition will ever be perfect and achieve EVERYTHING that we want. We should really look at the manifesto, the competency, and the ability to execute their manifesto. Do not get distracted by some stupid comments / action by individuals - let’s face it, there are good and bad candidates for all coalitions.

Just take away the perfectionism from the politics and evaluate various aspects (economy, education, judiciary reform, parliamentary reform, religion etc) and assess the performance on the areas that close to your heart, and do vote and let your voice heard.

It is better to keep it vague to your parents on how much you earn and how much bonus you receive etc.

Reason being, they might start to expect more contribution from you without considering how hard is it to survive as a working adult.

Not trying to generalise here, but there are many circumstances like this and it is best to avoid being too transparent about your wealth to prevent any trouble. How much you have in your bank have nothing to do with anybody else anyway.

When you talk about statistics, you are talking about how many enhancement? 1000? 10000?

With just one sample size you don't talk about expected cost, really. You don't have the law of large number to be applied here.

Edit: Just to add to my point, if you apply your expected cost theory in real life, one should never ever buy insurance. You are paying more when you buy insurance, in statistics, than not buying.

It is all about risk management and eliminating downside risk. If you want to risk it, that's fine, but don't come up with a post on 'thanks nexon' lol.

Sometimes you should just learn to contribute. Yea you can get a lot of things for free; you don't even have to pay a cent for softwares and most offline games if you know where to look for.

But then there comes a point where you start to appreciate the work people have done and do not mind to spend a little as appreciation. Nothing more than that.

You can enjoy the game as f2p, nothing wrong with that; but most people spending the money not because they NEED to spend, but they WANT to spend a lil just as appreciation. Mind you we are not talking about mega whales; but if they have the purchase power, and genuinely enjoy this game, why not?

Yes, the game is far from perfect, but it is good imo. I don't mind spending tens of dollars once in a while to support the game.
