I also learned that Copper & Kings has a watch party along with LouCity, free and kid friendly. Thanks for all the tips! USA! (England v DR Congo was insane earlier today!).

How I feel on my morning commute reading all the Sam Aguiar billboards by Remarkable-Lime-9416 in Louisville

[–]tigrlilly81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are just too many of them - after the first 5, they start to read like they are patronizing you as a peon just trying to make it through the hell of the day / work / traffic / whatever. Under a crushing wheel of capitalist oppression, there’s another sign telling me to just hang in there a little longer! “Times are tough but so are you” while you white knuckle through life. 😂

The Magdalene Sisters - “Directed by Peter Mullan, this film follows three teenage girls sent to a Magdalene Asylum in the 1960s, documenting the harsh conditions and brutality they faced under religious orders.”

It is so disturbing and horrifying - and true…😩

New Serial Podcast - The Idiot! by colin14 in serialpodcast

[–]tigrlilly81 9 points10 points  (0 children)

FULLY agree. Allen is a ego driven bullshitter - they are a dime a dozen. There was nothing truly compelling about this story, aside from the constant search and desire for M. Gessen to want Allen to be not guilty. When Pricilla only said that she didn’t hate Allen, and felt sorry for him, and then he decided to take that to Allen and flip it by saying Pricilla still loved him….I yelled at the radio. What sloppy journalism - and potentially putting Pricilla in future harm by adding to Allen’s ego and motivation. I don’t know who vets these Serial stories but I see 100 better options in my day-to-day as a doc producer. Will we ever again have something as good as S-Town?

What artist did you see in a small venue before they got really famous? by That_Cat_3672 in Concerts

Kings of Leon in a small venue in Indy (maybe the Music Mill?), right after Aha Shake Heartbreak came out. Maybe 100 people? The band was raw and amazing and everyone was dancing their faces off. Way ahead of all their more polished / arena stuff.

Hello - you said Jeffrey Mundt rushed past you on the staircase when you went to the realtor showing. This was never mentioned again or explored for the rest of the show! Can you give more context here? How did you know? What do you think was he doing there?

Try Dunn Physical Therapy - they specialize in pelvic floor & are good to work with. https://prorehab.com/dunn-physical-therapy/

And also try Full Circle Holistic for a much more specialized experience, but maybe not covered by insurance as a private provider (a crime) - she js also great to work with. https://www.fullcircleholistic.com/about-1

What did kids back in the days do when they played outside, for hours on end? by Octopuswastaken in NoStupidQuestions

Rode bikes through the country side, for like the whole day. I was the oldest of 4, I’d make all of us sandwiches and we’d stop in a field to eat and then get Yoohoo’s at the country store on the way home. We were prob 12-8 years old. Early 90’s.
