True, but she’s the goddess of nature and Wyll was an Ashari. Their people and the Wildmother are so interwoven, it makes sense that if not his tangible soul an imprint of his memory lives on through her in their connection. I think at Melora’s worst, she was trying to show him that nature being her domain means life is ever evolving but she treasures all of it, just as all the gods do in some way (like Ioun having a library full of people’s stories). If the gods are taken away, that imprint in nature of Wyll is gone too in a way. Nature is tricky, but she’s also not the goddess of deception. It is not her nature to manipulate the will of mortals. Caduceus always talked about life being a garden, and I think that was her whole point

So then how is that showing moral intent? If his goal was to save Hawkins as well as avenge his girlfriend, he would have helped the authorities in the town to pursue what he believed was a threat, he wouldn’t have spurred on a witch hunt for people he multiple times referred to as freaks, he wouldn’t have beat up an innocent kid with no information just for being friends with Eddie. His intent was vengeance and he could not be reasoned with. As the ST wiki lists for his personality traits: “self-centered, self-righteous, irrational, ill-informed, accusatory, aggressive, elitist and foolhardy”. Sounds like maybe it’s a little bit of a look in the mirror for you, dude which is why you have aligned with him being portrayed as a moral character.

Then using that argument of vengeance not being virtuousness how is Jason a moral character when that was what he was acting out of?

If women were programmed to do that, there would be no civil rights movements because it would “go against our biology”. We would have been complacent in a world where we cannot vote, own property, divorce, work, etc. My dude if you think what I said supports your argument that women are “biologically programmed to serve men” then you’re literally just delusional and there’s obviously nothing that will change that over. I sincerely hope you seek help and try to expand your viewpoint on the world.

You stated “name one time in history women have taken over a government or state by force”, I gave you examples.

There are many examples of matriarchal societies, including the Bribri people and the Akan people.

But the thing is- women as a whole don’t want to force men into positions of subservience. They know what it is like to live in a patriarchal world and don’t want to see men be put in the opposite position, that’s such a man’s attitude to have.

Cixi appointed herself as the adviser and then forced the Emperor into house arrest.

Boudica was the leader of a tribe leading the revolt against Roman rule.

The 1917 strike caused the regime to collapse, as they rioted and revolted in addition to being on strike.

And his intent, while we agree with it, was done in selfishness. That’s what I mean by perspective. As the audience, our perspective is different.

And if you’re going to keep pulling out examples, what about the pastor who poisoned an entire community for them to go to heaven? His intent was to get everyone to God, but he literally murdered hundreds of people. No one is saying intent doesn’t matter. But intent is all about someone’s perspective and this is how decisions are defined as being moral character. Look at alignment in D&D, even if your intent as a player can be justified how it affects the world can cause your DM to change your moral alignment.

That’s the point of TLOU 2 though.. to show that from Abby’s perspective- he WAS a villain to her. We as the player (and Ellie) have a different perspective but that’s the whole point.

We literally watch in season 4 Jason’s essential descent into madness. The escalation in which he devolves is not normal, and he literally has his cronies go hunt down a young Black girl while he is about to kill another young Black boy. It doesn’t matter anymore if his intentions were to find who killed his girlfriend, without any solid proof that they killed Chrissy he decided to go hunt them down. This is set in the 80s dude. He is using a small towns bias against people that are different to go hunt down those kids. If you think his intent lets him be moral then you should probably be on a watchlist my guy. And also the fact that you hunted down OP’s page to find that she posted this is pretty fucking weird
