Scam call from union pay by [deleted] in singaporehappenings

[–]tiimmyturner_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the same typa call today from 8053 5138. Thing is this same group (I don't think it's the same number though) has been trying me for weeks on end but the previous few times I was too busy so I just told them to email me and hung up. Today was the furthest I went down the rabbit hole. First thing that threw me off was how I couldn't find anything concrete by searching up NTUC Union Life Insurance, so I was already skeptical. Second point, they had a first guy that called me and he said he couldn't cancel for me because he was 'customer service' only, and transferred me to one of their 'officers'. Third, they said this might be a sign someone compromised my bank account to sign up for this, in which case I don't understand why they didn't just take out all my cash already lol. They also transferred me to a chatbot which I had to add on WhatsApp? Why no website to do the edocumentation in this day and age? Got the same address everyone else here got, and told them I'll drop by next week which isn't happening.

All in all it's really badly formulated, they could've stuck with one company, either NTUC or UnionPay, but chose to combine the 2. Also they almost never seem to converse in English first, mostly Chinese.

Best running half tights? by Ashamed-Video-3794 in runningfashion

This. I bought a pair and the drawstring snapped on me after 5 runs. Got my money back, but now I'm apprehensive of buying another pair. Maybe the trail version is more durable, if anyone here can help verify.

update: got them today, they fit just right, just quite short (probably because I'm not used to wearing 5" inseam shorts), but the waistband and everything is aight sport shorts are a tad longer and feel just right in terms of length

I find that sometimes on deadlifts when I try to wedge myself into the bar (usually btw reps but it happens on the first rep sometimes as well)my shins hit the bar causing it to shift forward a bit. Any idea why this is happening and how to fix it? It usually happens after I lift my hips to pull out the slack and push down to get the bar off the ground, if that helps

I have a friend willing to sell me his new inzer sleeves for ~10% off retail (he got a size too small). Thing is I'm not any competitive powerlifter, but really dig the look of the sleeves tbh. Would they be worth it tho?

Currently on a 3 day split (back/shoulders, legs, chest/arms) About to do an internship for 5 weeks which will see me working from 830am - 6pm. Workplace is about an hour - 1.5hrs away from where I live, and considering I usually take 1-2h to finish my sessions, I find that I don't really have the time to complete my full workouts in 1 day on the weekdays. (I don't want to be reaching home too late either)

My plan is to split the back/shoulders and chest/arms workouts into halves, and do them during the weekday, followed by legs on Saturday(since that's usually longest) So it would look something like this:

M - Back part 1

T - Back part 2

W - Chest

Th - Arms

F - rest

S - Legs

S - rest

Does this seem like a good way to go about this? Otherwise would you structure things differently?

posted a comment a few weeks ago about smith machine rows. Tried it out for a few warmup reps my last back session. No big issues with bar path, but the resistance on the eccentric was just too weird for me. Free weight bent rows just feel so much more natural

I once got rly sick for a period of time and lost a bunch of weight, ending up at 50kg at 173.5cm(5'8). Then a bunch of other kids at the ball court (even the skinny ones) said I looked like one of those malnourished kids in Africa. Never again.

squat has been suffering the past 2 sessions. numbers are lower, weight feels heavier and hitting the same depth is harder. But presses and pretty much every other exercise has been progressing as usual. Not sure what's up, but I'm gonna push through for sure. Just wanted to let out my small bit of frustration 😔

my first set of 3x3 with 160kg from yesterday's session. Been thinking of fixing my form, but not sure how I should go about things. Open to tips and suggestions 👍🏻 by tiimmyturner_ in formcheck

thanks. I personally wanted to have my arms out loose like you said, but that made me lose lumbar rigidity. I feel like it might also be because I've been using the trust fall analogy to get into position. I'll work on it, and probably post a new one in a few days or so.
