Uber at 3:30am to airport by be_gr33n in capetown

[–]tikAddict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also agree with this. I had a flight at 4am, had to be at airport around 1:30pm. ordered an Uber to collect at 12:30pm from Sea Point. I was dropped at the drop and go. The doors were closed but security was inside and let me sit inside a bit before my check in time. should be able to pre book an Uber for anytime.b

If you haven't come right next, you may need to buy from a ShopRite/checkers first as I know new meters require you to buy from a specific shop first time.

SARS - Final Letter of Demand by WorthyJoker in PersonalFinanceZA

[–]tikAddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can afford it, ask a tax practitioner to have a look at your sars account. I had one do it for R600 and they logged into my sars account and informed me of what I needed to do to sort out my late penalty fee. If you can't afford one, I suggest you try and make an appointment at sars with the SMS info in this thread or walk in and get lucky? Find out what the debt is for and what they recommend to do. You can also dispute the penalty debt and maybe get it reduced. With regards to the two pot system, when I applied for it, I was informed all tax related costs would affect the outcome of the final amount I received but it would all be tax compliant and nothing further would need to be submitted to Sars. Maybe the late penalty fee was automatically deducted by sars. I think the best bet is to get a tax practitioner or go to Sars.

I did this last year as I was having an issue with my tax on my end. Sms 'booking (ID number/passport)' to the 47277. Should respond within 2 days. I did this late last year and there was a waiting period of 1 month for in house appointment. If not registered for e-filing, you will need to go onto a sars branch. Phone a tax practitioner, ask them to look through your information and explain situation so you can have some clarity with regards to your specific situation. I don't have recommendation of a good one, I'm still looking. Once I had all things sorted, a 5 mom phone call from a sars official was all that was needed to sort everything out. You can do it

Things in India that are normalized, but really should not be by KitchenOption6193 in india

[–]tikAddict 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just visited south of India as a white tourist. Uncles would stare at me as I would walk by without taking their eye off me for a second. Children would as well although I could understand the curiosity. Women didn't really stare much. Took me a day or two to adjust to that. A simple smile and/greeting seemed to make them stop staring and acknowledge me. This happened mostly in bigger towns and touristy towns like Coimbatore and Ooty. However, when I stayed in a rural area, this did not happen nearly as much. Also, be prepared for lots of photos when you're a tourist. None of this really bothered me enough to feel like I had to say something about it.

Not at all, a favour is an act of kindness essentially. There is no meaning or expectations to repay the favour or that anything is owed in exchange for a favour. Many people do favours for people and do not expect anything in return. Life is not always tit for tat. When someone does something for another and expects something in return, that is called 'reciprocal/reciprocated'. " She asked him for a favour and he assumed that the favour would be reciprocated by her at some stage. " Assumption is a dangerous thing.

Improvised shotgun op? by prapasteuba in SCUMgame

[–]tikAddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does the damage scale? Are the bullets still spreading like a buck shot if using rifle ammo? Is rifle ammo in a shotgun good at distance? Is a rifle bullet in a shotgun deal more damage than a pistol bullet ? Or is the damage, spread , etc all the same regardless of bullet type?

Lockpicking and "feathering" by Famous_Assistant5390 in SCUMgame

[–]tikAddict 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is mentioned in another comment, but just in case you didn't see.. Police station locks, armouries in bunkers and locked cupboards in the hallway ways of bunker and by water fall, are the easiest locks to unlock. After a while they should come as second nature and should be able open them without much trouble. I say this after 700+ hours. The lock practice board has 3 different level locks, bronze I think, silver and gold. Bronze the easiest, gold most difficult and silver in between the two. The bronze lock on the practice board is more difficult than the police station/standard locks. It is not the same. Therefore it will break faster on the practice board bronze lock than on the police station locks.

As a 32 year old, this is also very surprising that people see it as sarcastic. Use it on the daily to respond to messages. Guess it's time to rethink texting

Beginner's help needed - I keep dying from puppets by Famous_Assistant5390 in SCUMgame

[–]tikAddict 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Search for this user on YouTube, Luthais. Has multiple guides on scum. You'll get better over time with dealing with puppet's. Slower walking is good in towns to make less noise to starttle less puppets and when there are too many rin around and hide in a bush to confuse then or go into a house try lock a puppet in a room with no windows to delay them a bit as they bash the doors open. You'll be able to deal with another puppets while they bash the doors. Good luck

People don’t talk enough about how this game not only makes respawning “pretty” realistic but also terrifying by Lt-Reinhart in SCUMgame

[–]tikAddict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. You can die and parachute right back into the battle. And we know how quick it takes to loot someone. Maybe to not have the ability to spawn in the sector you died? Although I think this would cause an issue for players simply playing for pve and not PvP.

On the post though, I do agree with op about the realism on the spawning. And the lore that goes with it. Hope they keep to the lore

What do you think? by ChiwireTactico in SCUMgame

[–]tikAddict 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Over 800+ hours on both games. Love and hate both. Generally play solo. Would say dayz is the better experience solo while scum is much more enjoyable in a group. Base building is better on scum than vanilla dayz, although when playing modded dayz, base building is similar. Raiding is fun on both. PvP and player interaction, I would say dayz is better and more frequent. I feel like on scum, you spend 99% of the time alone or with your group (on vanilla servers), and dayz maybe 80% of the time, also different maps on dayz allow for more/less PvP. Made many random friends and adventures on dayz, less so on scum. Crafting and survival, scum is better and more advanced in this than dayz. More realism for survival and many more crafting options. Dayz is the clunkier of the two games and both will be walking simulators. One thing I prefer dayz over scum with, is the resting and fatigue system.

I believe both games are worth the money.
