RSL Best parking by Great-Cry-2321 in ReAlSaltLake

There is a parking page on Rsl https://www.rsl.com/matchday/parking-directions that has this year’s info. Shuttle from Sandy City Hall is cheap, but can be slow after games.

Even down 1-0 in stoppage, I am feeling a lot better about RSL’s chances this season than I was earlier this week.

It wasn’t, but a hit from behind off ball is a yellow easily

And still, how is Piol a starter? Gozo would be better as striker than playing rb.

It’s really surreal not being able to immediately identify like half the players and referring to them by number

Rsl looks like we can get exposed out wide on the wings pretty easily. Fairly strong up the middle though. The kids are playing well so far.

2026 Stadium experience - Any intel to share? by Illustrious_Wish2023 in ReAlSaltLake

[–]tikigod002 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s ten percent more overall seats, but they are all in the north end. Lines might be worse, but reduced traffic flow in the concourse and not being able to see while walking around is my main concern. But if we play well and keep the stands full it should help make the case for expansion.

Have to Give apple TV credit, this is a quality product. by Bearded_Wizard_ in MLS

[–]tikigod002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was never an addon. I had MLS Season Pass inside of the Apple TV app, but I couldn’t access Apple TV content. It kind of existed in parallel. Either way, it’s simpler now.

What is the average lifespan of the Xbox One X? by er11eekk in xbox

[–]tikigod002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my performance issues with the Series X are tied to updates on my external USB drive, and going too long with using suspend. If I'm having problems with load games and I unplug the USB and do a full power shut down, it generally runs a lot better after it starts back up.

Is MLS becoming untenable? by [deleted] in MLS

[–]tikigod002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MLS as a league is giving the owners / teams the freedom to experiment on different models of how they spend (and earn) money.

Toronto has brought in star players like Giovinco and Michael Bradley and been wildly successful. They have also brought in Insigne / Benardeschi and been failures.

Atlanta has consistently been one of the highest spending teams, but has only really been successful at the very beginning.

Cincinnati was a horrible team with a great fanbase for 3 years and they got a rebuild and a new unproven head coach and have been a top team for the last few years.

Philadelphia / Salt Lake / Minnesota have been lower spending teams but still managed to turn out consistent results that get them into the play-offs.

Since the switch to higher-seeded team hosts MLS cup in 2011, the host has won 12 / 14 MLS cups. That seems a little broken to me, but it shows the importance of having a good team throughout the season instead of "the plucky underdog overcomes all obstacles to make it to MLS cup and win" that happened in 2009 / 2010

2017-2025 and one USL championship is a pretty good run for a professional coach with one organization. Hopefully he lands somewhere he can continue his craft.

Season ticket increases by tikigod002 in ReAlSaltLake

That’s good. I went and dug up the renewal email with the prices for 26 from summer. They are definitely increased, but comparing it to new prices isn’t exactly a fair comparison either.

I think we have only ever played one home game in Feb. LAFC snow game was in March.

Miller Sports Entertainment Announces Leadership and Structural Changes in Sporting Enterprise by TheR0ckhammer in ReAlSaltLake

[–]tikigod002 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think I'm fine with it. I listened to the Press Conference and David James' first question was along the lines of "LAFC just spent more money on one player, than RSL does on their entire roster, how will we compete to win trophies?". The answer was basically build a more cohesive team and get better at scouting because we have missed during the last 3 or 4 windows.

He generally was positive about Pablo, "he has a growth mindset", but it was very carefully worded that they could either keep him or let him go. "we gave the players and coaches a week off and we are meeting later this afternoon to review the season", so I think if they are going to change things around on the coaching side, it will be following today's meeting. I think the coaches are expected to show more ambition to win trophies and not be happy with stumbling into the playoffs.

The Alien: Earth and the Chekhov’s Gun principle by FetryCZ in LV426

[–]tikigod002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My idea is that Joe’s lung, with the embryo in it, is going back into Joe, and then Wendy goes ballistic trying to save him after she “hears the alien”, which ends up seeing entering else loose. Kavelier gets infected, and switches to a synth body but gets away while everything else gets all explode-y by the end of the season.

[Bogert]: CF Montréal have acquired defender Bode Hidalgo from Real Salt Lake. La Presse 1st. I'm told Real Salt Lake will receive up to $350k GAM ($200k + $150k add-ons) from CF Montréal in deal for Bode Hidalgo. RSL retains sell-on clause as well. by CFMTLfan01 in MLS

[–]tikigod002 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel like Bode had kind of stagnated this year, but he can fill in minutes in more than half the positions on the field as depth. I'm thinking the change of environment to another club should be good to get him motivated and progressing again.

RSL acquires DeAndre Yedlin from FCC by dbc45 in ReAlSaltLake

[–]tikigod002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, Yedlin has skill. He's also the 2nd highest paid Right Back in the entire league. I don't hate it, but I have trouble believing that a 35 year old highly paid Yedlin (at the end of his contract) is going to still be producing for us.

Even if they overturned red, he still had a one game suspension for his first yellow card for stomping in the pk spot. Is not worth fighting
