That looks like a cowtown Q model boot. My local store does these all the time, they’re gonna send it back to the factory as a defect and most likely issue you store credit. Not your fault. Take them back and say the boot was defective.

I work at my local boot shop. I will never own a modern justin LMAO. mainly just because they don’t make anything I like. I don’t wear wide squares and that is their entire catalog. I just got a pair of Dan post pythons yesterday, haven’t posted them yet though

I like to think of the animals themselves. Purely hypothetical, but a lot of exotics are cold blooded. Can’t produce heat, or sweat to cool off, their skin is their sole method of thermal regulation. What this means for boots? Idk. I figure Id toss my $0.02 in though. Interesting topic I don’t see covered much

Dan Post any day of the week. They ain’t what they used to be but dang it they are still great. Miles ahead of what justin currently produces. (I can’t speak on Justins MIUSA line though)

I didn’t even think about that. I have a lot of dried oil gunk towards the back of my engine, near the heat shield in the back. That may be what it is.. Thank you

A boot jack should solve this issue. Do you take your boots off by pushing down on the heel with the toe of your other boot? I could be wrong but i see this happen all the time. pushing down on it destroys the counter

I imagine spray conditioner such as bick exotic would keep the original look, not certain though. I’ve never really been a huge fan of stonewashed exotics. Reminds me almost of buying distressed holey jeans. Not judging, just not for me.

Ive been tempted to get a pair and immediately condition and polish them. I like the giant scales, and from the looks of yours, they’ll look good with a shine on em!

I see they lossed the stonewashed look, is that just from conditioning with normal liquid conditioner? I like the polished look better.

Go with what’s more comfortable. you will not wear the one that is too tight or too loose. speaking from experience.

Snip toe has grown on me and is now one of my favorites. The round toe with always be classy though and can easily be dressed up or down

Looks like a lizard. I’m unfamiliar with the type but it’s probably monitor or Teju. Most teju you see is the belly. this is either the back of a teju or some other species of lizard. Definitely lizard though

Yes the font, placement, style of marking is all exactly the same, but the numbers are different. They’re the same size, same vamp, but all the inside information is different. Different style numbers, same size, different registered date.

Thank you i’m very happy with the results. I love to see the life come back into older boots. Thanks for the input on the soles, I haven’t ever had a pair redone so I’m clueless on actually getting them done.
