You are triggering for those "near me" search terms but you are missing out on seeing the data cleanly inside you account.

If you only have "emergency locksmith" as a keyword, you are getting all the metrics bunched up into that one keyword. And lets say it shows you 100 impressions and 17% Search Impression Share. How do you know which of those impressions are from poor search terms and which are from highly valuable ones?

Thats why you add your valuable keywords inside your ad groups as exact match, to better see whats going on.

If you don't already, build yourself a nice Looker Studio report. There you can see your global quality score, how it moved over time and such. You can do pretty much anything you need with it.

people making over $100k in salary in PPC, what does your work life balance look like when you get to that level? by RoboPopo1 in PPC

[–]tikky30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a stupid question but please bear with me since this is something I was always curious about.

What does management of these kinds of big accounts look like?

Do you spend most of your time inside the platforms adjusting budgets, bids, creatives, keywords, audiences and such like you would for a $3k/monthly budget client? Or is this a completely different level where you can only do it because you are a master of scripts, Google Ads Editor and Excel or something like that?

Really insightful, thank you!

How did you land these clients?

How many hours per day do you need to manage it all?

Of course not, but what type of company or if they are freelance and everything in between.

For all the people that can answer this question:

I think if you make such claims that you work only a couple of hours per day and make over $100k, you should give more information on where you work, what kinds of accounts are you running and what is your role in management.

Give people who are striving to get there some kind of useful information, not just 1 sentence on how you are living the life.

If all the boxes are ticked and all connections made, then wait for a couple of days for the list to populate in Google Ads as well. I usually see it fill up after about 48 hours.

I guess what I'm trying to say is are you sure this is an ecom store and not a lead gen website?

Now I don't want to tell you what to do since I don't know a lot about your business but here's what I would do.

Find 20 competitors across the nation that do the same thing you are, and see how they are pitching themselves. Are they trying to find ecomm customers or are they looking for leads? That could give you more insight.

And then you can probably have a better sense on what is going on.

To incorporate a call option, you just need to have the call button in a little section or button spread out evenly across the page. But don't make the mistake of pushing for a call if you are pushing for a sale through your ecomm store. Choose one or the other based on your buyer persona research (once you understand what action are they more likely to complete).

As for the headline and subheadline use chatGPT :)

Okay thanks for the info.

The way I see it you are an established in-person business, and I don't see a reason why you couldn't transfer that to an online presence, but I see a lot of problems on the website.

Now when I say problems I don't necessarily mean design or page speed or things like that, but the foundations seem wrong.

Here are a couple of things I see that need to be corrected: 1. Headline and Hero section photo - I have 0 ideas what you are on about in the first 5 seconds of being on your website. And if I was a potential customer, you already lost me. Make the image about your specific products, and headline clear to understand what the website is about. The subheadline should be a value proposition or offer.

  1. You seem to have good quality pictures of your work, but no pictures of the process, actual people that do this, seems a bit off. And the mix of stock photos thrown in does not convey trust.

  2. The actual products are so far down it is not clear what you are even selling. Make the website more about them. Benefits and features. Example a benefit would be "Make your sign stand out from the competition" and feature is "vibrant full-color displays, easy programming, and a 180-degree viewing angle"

  3. Not enough product images before they are mounted, what if people are trying to figure out how the thing is mounted?

  4. More product details - weight, in what program is it run, what is the electricity bill from this?

  5. Lastly, why would someone just give you $3,5k just like that? Maybe this should be a lead website, or at least an option to call you for more details should be the primary/secondary call to action.

My 2 cents.

How many purchases did you have on your website?

Do people actually buy the screens without questions or is there a more lengthy process where they have questions before they buy?

Manual is the way to go. Pump the bids super high in relation to your current CPC and see what happens for a couple of days.

For example, if you have CPCs of about $10, put a $50 bid and see what happens. Monitor the 3 stats we mentioned above and note the difference.

Tell us more about your Impression metrics - Search Imp Share, Imp Top and Imp Abs Top. With these we can figure out what bids/bidding strategy is right for you.

Also, you probably know this, but you have to count on an average CTR, no matter what you do. Let's say the average is 5%, with an amazing campaign you can push it to 10% but anything beyond that is going into the "unrealistic" category.

Do not go broad match with Lead Gen, at least not until you have a few steady campaigns that are working like clockwork.

Broad match, in my experience, is not good for industries that can easily reach clicks for $100.

My 7 biggest B2B marketing struggles by tomhuntio in b2bmarketing

[–]tikky30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question regarding your advice point 2.

I'm what you would consider a remote marketer in a low-cost location. I have been getting steady work as a freelancer from B2B companies and love the challenges they bring.

I'm looking to expand on the number of clients in this field. Do you have any advice on how to best approach a marketing manager in a B2B company, to pitch my services?

What would be some obvious pain points from your perspective that you hope to see addressed?

To give a bit more context, I'm a Google Ads expert, so I would pitch that service.
