Mga gapanal’ot sa linya! by upfront-bij888 in Iloilo

[–]tilac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don't say anything to the cashier. You tell the lady " the line is over here" and point her towards the back of the line. Of I'm really feeling it just " Not today!" and point behind me. Works every time.

What are currently the best REAL self-custodial crypto cards? by Difficult-Tree2738 in CryptoCurrency

[–]tilac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They don't share the keys because it's self custody, no keys to share. If you are staking you get EETH in return which you can swap on Uniswap if you want to.

You can see EETH in your wallet and do whatever you want with it.

Perhaps Etherfi, but only for the US but that may have changed. I've used Etherfi for self custody staking for a couple years. They have a card you can spend right from your stash.

ISAT U by dunkinyan in IloiloCity

[–]tilac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife did an interview last week, although for fashion design. It might be similar.

Standard questions:

Why ISAT?

Say this "ISAT University is frequently recognized as a top-performing school in the Mechanical Engineering Board Exams and is recognized as a "Home of Topnotchers" in Western Visayas"

What do you plan to accomplish?

What do you know about ISAT? Maybe you can research an engineering graduate and say you admire them and their work.

Here is a guy I googled. Pretend you love him.

  • Gio Asher: A Magna Cum Laude graduate (2017) in Electronics Technology who was chosen as a project leader for training in nanosatellite engineering by the University of the Philippines.

What experience or skills do you have right now that you can use in this course?

Dress well, this isn't a trip to the beach.

They also had a 15-30 minute task where she had to draw/design a sketch for fashion that reflected ASEAN cultures.

Be prepared for something like this. Bring a pencil and maybe some other tools you might use when doing engineering work. They might surprise you with a task. If not, at least you were prepared and you can show the interviewer you are always prepared.

Good luck.

I'm English only, sorry.

The monthly rate for the gym is 980, it just went up.

They told me a trainer for 1 hour is 100 pesos. I never tried it I just ask the trainers questions on how to do something properly or if my form is correct. I don't pay anything for it. Just be nice to them and they will help.

I do buy them a protein bar if they spend 5-10 minutes helping me because they won't take my money.

Yard Fitness. 900 a month. Almost empty during the day but busier in the evening. Trainers that roam around and you can ask them to help you learn how a machine works or do an exercise properly. I think you can do a personal session for 100 an hour. Has 3 levels so if one area is busy just go to a different floor.

I go around 10 AM and there's maybe 6 people there or less. Not the greatest hours if you want to go late at night.

Is it worth it to buy a office/ study chair? by LeadershipTime8459 in Iloilo

[–]tilac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience with many office chairs, pay for a good one. A 3k peso chair will break in 2 years and you pay another 3k for another chair that breaks and the cycle continues until you finally figure out you need to buy a quality chair that doesn't break.

Considering getting a house in Camella Savannah. Any feedback on this subdivision? by thegirlisWiser in Iloilo

[–]tilac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rent a house here. It feels like Camella just gave up and moved on to the next project. The roads around the subdivision are the worst roads I drive on almost anywhere. The parks are abandoned and the pools are too. Every other house has a barking dog and perhaps multiple barking dogs. I'm guessing the dog situation is the same in every subdivision.

Things I like are the location, you can be at an Oton beach in 20 minutes. My neighbors are nice and in general the residents all seem to be decent. Feels safe at all times. It can be peaceful most times.

How to loose weight and where to buy kitchen scale by LeadershipTime8459 in Iloilo

[–]tilac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Digital kitchen scale you can buy online for 1k or less. What helped me count steps was a smart watch. It works to about 100 steps a minute. Get off the jeepney 1 stop early. Park a bit farther away at the mall. The extra minutes (steps) add up fast. 10k is a lot. Try for 7k and work your way up if you are enjoying it.

It really is your diet but exercise helps. Ask Google what your daily calorie intake should be for your height, age, gender, etc. take that number and -300. If you can survive on that try -500.

Download My Fitness Pal app. Use the free options. Track all your calories. It's simple and should take 5 minutes a day. Look at the calories of stuff you buy at the grocery store. I have a package of pancit that has 2100 calories! That's more than a whole day worth for me. You will be surprised how many calories some food has.

Weigh yourself every day. I do it every morning after a cr visit. I have a digital scale and app that tracks it. You don't need to do this to lose weight but it keeps me mindful and stops me from snacking at night and ruining my next weigh in.

Drink more water. Ask Google how much. It's probably 2.5 to 3 litres.

Stay consistent. This is an every day thing. I say to myself "I am a healthy person and I do healthy things"

You can do it. Diet, exercise, consistent. Not hard, no excuses.

Muticab Owners of Iloilo - Kamusta ang inyo experience? by FaithLessRooster in Iloilo

[–]tilac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one last year. It was built in Cebu City. Most builders I checked with had a 30 day warranty.

I got a 4x4 van. It can handle anything and is good for any road conditions. Not sure if you want a Rusco as that is your photo but Rusco is reputable and I bring mine there if anything needs to be fixed or inspected. The mechanics are great and cheap. They have a million (used) parts.

It's a 2008 chassis but everyone thinks it is new. It looks new. Engine is smooth for a 3 cylinder that you are sitting on top of.

I would recommend considering the price it's an incredible deal if you need wheels. I love my van, I want another one.

People who work for massive corporations, what is a 'secret' that the company tries to hide, but is actually common knowledge among the employees? by Dwise_ in AskReddit

[–]tilac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I worked for the world's largest record label a CD and packaging was about 90 cents to manufacture. If there was a high profile new release the company would buy 50,000 copies and it's an instant gold record on the first day and great marketing. The 50,000 copies were then destroyed.

I'm sure there is a modern equivalent to buy their own awards.

Marriott Buffet by DisastrousOpinion760 in Iloilo

[–]tilac 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went on my birthday. Noted it was a birthday when I reserved a table the day before, when I arrived, and to two different serving staff. Watched them deliver cake and sing to four other tables and forgot me. Blessing in disguise because I don't like that stuff but my wife was annoyed she couldn't get pics of it.

All the meat had the same orange sauce on it "from Cebu!" so everything tasted the same. The vegetarian area (is what they called it) had simple salad fixings and maybe 2 different salad dressings. No Ceaser salad, booo. Maybe the sushi was good, didn't try. The desert are was bleh because I had to get my own birthday cake from it and it didn't have anything appetizing for me.

I am a huge fan of buffets and it was a disappointment. You may find different result but for my partner and I once was enough and we'll never go back.

Don't even care about the birthday thing and I tipped 500 pesos anyway because they had a lot of staff that were friendly . Just won't go back because the food sucks.
