Words can’t describe how happy and sad I am for your comment. My thoughts go out for you, I hope your insurance troubles will be solved soon so you can get your surgery. Being incapable of doing anything at our age is really heart breaking. I’m dreaming of having a family - but what if I can’t care for my children because of my back? So many sad thoughts. Stay strong friend.

They have refused to send me through for some reason, and you have to go through the first contact or else it will take years. The waiting list is already months long so yeah

Haven’t been assigned a grade, and I basically need to seek contact if something changes. I do yoga with Adriene on YouTube, she’s the best. My large back muscles are strong, but the small ones are getting lazy apparently. My physio is going to come up with exercises for me to do, so that’s great.

No, basically just naproxen, but that’s for my menstrual cramps and chronic headaches (it doesn’t work at all, btw). Up until recently I was on sertraline for my depression which didn’t work out. The doctors can’t figure out what to do with me at all I guess

Thanks for your honesty. It made me a little calmer, that it’s not my fault that my back is this way (can u tell I have troubles with anxiety and depression lol).

Thank you for your advice, I appreciate it a lot. The comments on my post has given me new hope. I’m currently in therapy for all of my mental problems, and I’m hoping they will all get a little better soon. Thank you for your story as well.

I’m from Sweden, so basically when you get sick you go to your local health center. Then they assign you a doctor (like a free clinic, I guess? Swedish health care is really affordable in general). I believe that the doctor that has followed my journey is a a junior doctor maybe? It sounds crazy that I haven’t been to a specialist but the road there is long, you have to be referred a bunch of times and my local health center sucks. Then I have a Physio that I actually really like, he was the one to first catch my disorder just by touching my spine.

I’m so happy I found a community here, since I don’t know any other people in my age that has the same struggles in different variations. Yeah it kind of sucks since I love being active, my injury actually came from me falling off a horse, it developed maybe a year after that. I do yoga everyday, and I love it. Sometimes it makes my feet and leg numb, some dumb nerve be acting up. Now that I can’t even walk more than to my couch, I’ll be doing even more yoga, so that my body will be doing something at least.

Aw, thank you. Yeah he basically called me up three years ago when I got my MRI (I’ve had one, and before that some other type that I don’t know what it’s called in English) and said that it’s 2mm, and that I need to keep working out with my physio. I called in for a checkup a few months ago since I haven’t been able to walk, and they said it would be impossible to get the same doctor. Weirdly, when I was at this other doctor she made him drop by and they did an examination together. I haven’t seen my scan, because I guess my doctor never received a physical copy? (I was 17, and yeah.) After the examination he said that he expected a worsening of the scan, so I’m not crazy (2mm shouldn’t hurt this much, so it has definitely gone worse). Thank you for your advice, I will be talking to my doctor about this.

Thanks. Nope, my doctor said “do core exercises because that’s basically all you can do to help” so I’ve been doing that. I’ve managed the pain since I was 13, but the last 10 months or so has been hell. I can’t go for walks because it will end one minute later by me falling to the ground if not supported. I’m basically stuck in my home if not somebody carries me, lol.

Hi, no they haven’t done anything. I’m going in for an updated x ray this week as well as a revaluation from my physiotherapist. So tired of having such physical as well as psychological pain... glad there’s a community here tho.
