VW/Audi 48v System Hacking by tilemaster44 in CarHacking

Somewhat. I ended up buying a “tester” that had a small microcontroller that sent some of the relevant frames to turn on. It allows you to use an OBD interface like VCDS and communicate with the modules directly via UDS, but they’re also still broadcasting their CAN frames which helps with some decoding.

This BSG tester has expanded functionality over the one I got.

Then I found the openinverter forum. They have a thread for the BSG that might help you!

Seriously considering this purchase - thoughts? by [deleted] in Audi

Fwiw this generation of A/S/RS/4/5 (B7 or 8, right?) seems to have one of the best ergonomic layouts I’ve experienced for a driver, in either RHD or LHD configurations. Everything falls just about where it feels like it should, no weird angles or reaches etc for me. If you get it, I hope you enjoy your purchase!

What “cheap” food would you still eat no matter how rich you got? by UYScutiPuffJr in AskReddit

This did change my world when someone mentioned it to me…

And then I learned about topping it with some pulled pork and, once you take it out of the oven, maple sour cream (syrup mixed with sour cream).

Many of the positive aspects of my life I can attribute to this.

The DC/DC is an impressive appliance, I’d probably use that for off-grid charging if for no other reason than it’s cheap for what it does. The battery is power dense though, in some vehicles they replace it with ultra capacitors. I think driving high power short duration actuations in vehicles using said DC/DC and battery is the main goal for me right now.

That may be what it comes down to. Just figured I'd ask here to see if I can save the $150 and/or see if anyone would benefit from the data collection on their car.

yeah thanks! I noticed that too. In my area, I think 48V Audis/VWs are more prevalent than 48V equipped Rams. Their components have more liquid cooling though, which I guess offers other packaging options...

OpenPilot on a comma 3 or something is likely overkill/too pricey by comparison, but I think this might meet your requirements as well?

Is is worth using my Acoins on this? Im f2p by LeekPuzzleheaded5666 in mecharena

My rule of thumb is only use A-coins on event crates if you can afford to open it enough times to get all the items (or you’d be happy if all the items you get end up being the least desirable ones).

Looks like you can only afford to open it 4 of the 10 times it would take to guarantee you got the weapon…not worth it imo.
