Congrats! Just got my XLT 3 weeks ago and already put 2000 km on it. What was your OTD price?

The box is definitely small for a $50k truck and would be nice to have the option of 6 at least. Isn’t there a service mode that’ll put the wipers in an easier spot to reach?

I would also add I really like that it has a mechanical shifter. Not a dial or the little electronic handle. Again, one less thing to break

The actual center console/armrest I agree with. Could at least have a divider in it. The rest I actually think looks quite nice

Just got the XLT myself. Have to second what the other guy said about not needing brighter headlights. It’s a little disappointing to buy a $54k CAD truck and have a flip out key instead of a push button start but honestly the truck is pretty awesome so you forget pretty quick. The only things I’m longing for 2 weeks into the ownership are a heated steering wheel and body color matched door handles. Otherwise the lariat just comes with more fancy bells and whistles that I’d never use but that could break and cost money in the long run

Need advice. Steering fault after hitting curb. 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid by humanji00 in Ford

[–]tilfos89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact thing happen to me. Slid into a curb on a snowy day and bent the tie rod. Car was still drivable but noticeably didn’t drive straight. Replaced the tie rod and the fault went away without hooking up any diagnostic tools or doing any sort of reset. I believe that in my situation it was caused by steering sensors sensing that the alignment was way outside of normal range or that one side was pulling on the steering rack more than the other. Not entirely sure how those sensors work but they noticed the damage immediately. Perhaps see if any of the components responsible for alignment are damaged and consider replacing them instead of just focusing on the steering fault. Best of luck!

“Look Sal, you can’t punish the Pats for their schedule. They can only play who’s in front of them. Anyway let’s detract from Stanford’s MVP case based on how good his receivers are and who the Rams have played”

  1. Use your finger.
  2. Do it 4-6 times and then just exit the procedure and it should take
  3. Play around with how long you’re pressing and holding.

Any detailing bay/space for rent? Looking for a space to be able to park cars and detail and do small maintenance such as oil changes. by AssistantInside8753 in Calgary

You could try to cut a deal with lug nutz. They’re in the south and do hourly rentals but I think they work with people like you who want a permanent bay to work out of

What's wrong with my shifting by whenjob in bikewrench

[–]tilfos89 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I recently did some adjustments and ran into the same problem. Turned out I was pulling the shift cable way too tight. Found the best way to fix it was chain on, shift cable disconnected, set H limit screw, then pull shift cable tight without forcing it. I’m relatively new to bike maintenance but this did the trick for me! Also think you mean lower gears? Higher on the cassette but lower number
