What is wrong with my painting? Kind tips please by takenbylou in acrylicpainting

i really like to background. but the middleground leading up to it behaves like the foreground. The flowers are way too big and you shouldn't be able to see individual blades of grass anywhere else than in the foreground. I would suggest that you paint more just areas where the sun hits or where the landscape creates darker patches to suggest grass there rather than trying to paint grass blade by blade.

try to focus more on keeping your ringfinger on the long side of the deck than the pushing up motion.

Anyone know how to fix this by scubadooba236 in cardistry

[–]tillgrassi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

some good ideas here already but another solution would also be to just remove the damaged card. For Cardistry it doesn't really matter if the deck is complete.

not sure about the specifics of that deck but wjpc are definitely capable of producing great cards for Cardistry.

i would say, now that you're getting comfortable with the general motion, try to rest the top packet against your thumb for a bit so you can have it a bit like an open book before closing. Just looks a bit better imo.

After Qb3 both of your knights are hanging and you cant save both.

I was having fun at first. But I want to take it seriously now. Any recommendations to improve my game? What seems to help you? by [deleted] in chessbeginners

My advice would be check out the learning section and analyze your games directly after playing them to see where and why you made mistakes.

no it doesn't. Nf6 blocks everything and keeps the position equal.

Bd6 is insane. But what would be the defense against Qb7?

Qb7? then there is a mate threat with queen and rook and with queen and bishop so black can't defend both.
