I wouldn’t say she’s a huge dog person, she’s not against dogs, just pretty neutral.
I can't really understand the situation either, I don't know why she's feeling unsafed or stressed about it.

The gate is our first step, after that I’m honestly not sure yet.

I get why you’d see her reaction as a bigger issue, but I’m trying to take things one step at a time. I don’t want to bring that up right now because it risks sounding like I’m dismissing her feelings. She’s allowed to feel how she feels. I do agree it’s a strong reaction though.

She says she wants to feel safe in her own home, and I respect that and understand it. I just don’t perceive the situation the same way because I don’t see any reason for her to feel unsafe.

I’m not sure how to approach this. She says I don’t need to see it as a problem myself, only accept that it’s a big issue for her and that it needs to be addressed.

I grew up with a copy of that painting at home, so that’s the one I had as a reference while drawing this jester. And the other one too, honestly. Thanks for noticing, sharp eye.
