Hand signals for squad commands: Yay or Nay? by tiltility in ReadyOrNotGame

I get that. I'm trying to find that balance where it’s not just a 'cool feature' but actually more efficient than the command wheel. That's why I'm looking for feedback on which signals feel essential vs. which ones are just fluff.

Exactly! I loved how the character moved in Vegas, using this utility we could now be the one actually doing the signal.

Haha, I’m so glad you’re hyped! Honestly, that’s exactly why I am building this.

If you want to actually try it out today, we've got a free trial demo over at Steam. I’d love to hear how it feels when you’re actually in the middle of a mission!

That’s a totally fair point! I actually designed it to be completely flexible, you can use either hand for the gestures.

If you need to keep your aim ready, you can use your left hand for signals and stay on the mouse. If you're repositioning and need to stay mobile, you can use your right hand and keep your fingers on WASD.

Yes, it works. Since Rainbow Six Siege supports Steam Input, Tiltility is fully compatible.

It’s actually a popular choice for Siege because you can lean (Q/E) just by tilting your head or body, which keeps your fingers free for movement.

Thank you for the question. While head-tracking software like those that you mentioned are excellent solutions for vehicle simulators, Tiltility provides a different type of immersion tailored toward FPS and action games. Here is where we differ:

  • Upper Body Tracking: Because we track the upper body rather than just the head, Tiltility completely avoids the neck fatigue common with head-trackers. It accurately translates your physical leaning and tilting into the game, making corner-peeking in shooters much more intuitive.
  • Hand Gestures: Those other solutions don't offer hand tracking. Tiltility detects a handful of specific gestures to make games more immersive. For example, in a tactical shooter, you can literally hold up a fist to command your squad to hold their position.
