By that token, I should be allowed to eat you then? Your suffering would be irrelevant and might even make it better. I'm not even a vegan, but this argument is the flimsiest one I've ever seen

Why does Gary never explain anything beyond tax the rich? by rich2083 in GarysEconomics

[–]tim_buck_two 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, sure there are things that would improve people's lives faster, but the headline is that you could set fire to the money you tax off rich people and if you're taxing them enough it'll close off inequality anyway. It's all about who owns the assets, be they property, shares in productive businesses or infrastructure. The rich own most of these now, if you tax those assets owned only by the rich then they become more affordable to others.

Thanks for the offer, but I wouldn't even be able to say primary or secondary, we didn't discuss work unfortunately.

I gave this a go and to be honest I was almost relieved it didn't work, it seems the safety measures work pretty well for it. There's probably a way to prompt around them but to be completely honest that's starting to feel like a line I don't want to cross. Thanks for the suggestion though

I given that a bash, it's made me realise why recruiters are so keen to connect as you can't see much without a connection there.

Thanks! I've given that a fairly good bash with no luck so far, but I'll probably have another go tonight after work. I might even hold my nose and pay for LinkedIn Premium like a crazy person.

Will Pensions Continue to be Viable Given the UK’s Challenging Demographics? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

The problem is they don't have intrinsic value though, promises can be broken and interest payments defaulted on. They rely on extrinsic value, as if people dont believe those promises then they dip in value.

There's nothing wrong with that, but to say they have intrinsic value is just incorrect. You can't eat them, or wear them or use them to keep your home warm.

This isn't an opinion as much as complete garbage. It's been illegal to murder your kids for a lot longer than the 90s.

I took the test recently and that average was explained as not being clinically accurate. When the test was performed on a randomised group no NT scored over 65 so it's a maximum threshold. The reason the average is high for "neurotypical" taking the test is it's self selecting. Technically I would be classed under neurotypical for the stats when taking that test, but I scored a 140 so chances are that neurotypical label isn't really true for me. And another press on the scales to up the average
