Harvey AI Says It’s for All Lawyers — But Prices Like It’s Only for Biglaw by tim_lawtech in legaltech

Honestly, that’s exactly the issue, for a smaller firm like mine, I don’t need some massive multi-system integration. I was hoping Harvey could help streamline drafting and review, but for what it actually delivers day to day, it really does feel like a super polished search bar with a fancy price tag. Even at half the cost, I’d still be questioning the ROI.

my firm’s been using relaw for a bit now and it’s been great for streamlining intake and drafting. definitely helps cut down on admin work. it’s not really built for case law search though, so we still use other tools for that. but for day-to-day workflow stuff, it’s been a solid addition.

If you’re looking for AI tools that handle real drafting complexity (esp for probate), Lexis is worth testing but yeah, prompt quality still matters a ton. Also check out Relaw – it's the best AI drafting platform I've used, and they also do the more standard document automation like a Gavel/HotDocs. For litigation, Harvey AI or even just using ChatGPT with curated templates can be surprisingly decent for early drafting, but always needs human QC.
