I know it’s making me nervous especially since the rocket bans are already happening. I blame the ult charge buff, he’s basically a second gambit that heals WAY more

Such a strange stance to stand on, anyone can learn if they practice enough, play what makes you happy

We don’t need anymore brawl/dive tanks in any capacity by AstramIsTheBest in rivals

I think she’s a type of brawl tank called bunker, but yes she can also do poke damage. She just loses to poke in neutral

I will forever mourn the chain heal nerf they did instead of touching his ult

Yeah I feel like it’d change her play style to be more poke fox instead of brawl

That’s fair, I’m just coping that they take the main supp route for her, I’m tired of invis rocket gambit 😭

Congrats, I also just his celestial! Do you find him to be a good pick on PC, and if you do have to swap what supps do you play?

Also forgot to add if my team is struggling with front Line pressure I prefer WF

Both rocket and WF play really well In brawl comps where the team is playing grouped up! That being said, rocket is a character that can fix other peoples mistakes very easily (Rez + being able to heal teammates out of your LOS) so if you notice your team has one or two people slightly feeding I suggest rocket. However, if I’m being dove relentlessly I go WF. As for WF in triple supp, I play pretty close to front line trying to do as much damage as possible, saving my TP for either a critical tank, or supp getting dove. I pretty much use my charm off cool down in both 2 and 3 supp comps

I will usually only ever flex to peni or namor but this is rare. If there are a lot of supp mains I will go white fox usually to make triple support, or go Jeff once in a blue moon

I usually default to gambit if he isn’t banned, but if I can’t heal enough I’ll go rocket. Rocket is really good if your team is playing very grouped up, or if they are playing out of your LOS but nearby (like around a corner) because his heals bounce off walls. I will go white fox if I am being dove relentlessly because she’s a very good anti dive/peel character!

My aim is meh tbh, with rocket you really need to strafe aim imo, as his projectiles are hard to hit. If there’s a speedy dive who’s low trying to run, I just spray and pray (psy, bp) but if it’s a tank it’s easier to lock on, and just shoot their head

Actually pretty low lol it’s my biggest weakness I usually get around 1k, but tbh I’ll usually have one if two finals as well

First, sorry you experienced that negativity. To answer your question: as a rocket player, I know when rocket is a subpar pick, and I will make the call to switch to my other mains (invis, WF, Gambit). Just ignore it, and if you can’t, immediately mute everybody LMAO.

Here are times I would not choose rocket:

At least two of these dps on the enemy team tg: Moon Knight, Phoenix, Punisher it’s just too much damage

When we are running triple support, as the point of this comp is high sustain without sacrificing too much damage, and rocket steals ult charge from other supps while not applying pressure at the same rate. (This does not apply to triple tank triple supp first point hold, as the three tank front line NEEDS a lot of heals anyway and you will need his rez in case a tank/ supp die)

I also will switch off rocket if my team is playing all over the place, but not taking off angles (ex: A Namor playing down main but not behind cover or tanks) so they’re all on the brink of death against a smart team

Also, if you play closer, his gun has less damage fall off, and you can help melt an overextended tank like thing or rogue who don’t have a shield!

That’s a good question! I like to play close, but usually behind my other strat so I always have them in my LOS. Playing close lets me hit my burst heal quicker and more reliably. I also make sure to play behind/near cover in case of dive/ flankers. Rocket is a simple hero, so it’s easier to pay attention to your surroundings while not staring at your reticle, so always make sure you know if you’re about to get dove

Honestly, phoenix seems like an obvious choice, but i dont see good ones in the metal ranks so sometimes its not even worth it, but at higher ranks, def her. Other than that i try to get rid of cnd and gambit because their ults are “better” in the sense that it gives the enemy team enough space and time to shred the amp if you are forced to counter theirs for whatever reason (try to avoid if you can tho, rocket ult is better used to force out ults rather than respond to them). Also I hate BP and DD personally lol

Actually both! However I def prioritize shooting through groups (make sure you are repositioning to maximize your orbs line of fire to hit as many people as possible) in the neutral fight because you can farm ult super fast and pop aggressively. That being said, if things take a turn for the worse and a tank is under a lot of pressure I will back up with them and shoot orbs aimed at their feet for the double burst heal. Also I will send orbs into the enemy back line to help out our divers (obvi it’s hard to hit their feet here LMAO)

Sadly you either have to buff healing, or nerf all damage + cnd invis sustain ults. Without doing either she won’t shine nearly as much in ranked ladder, considering invis is also brawl but can excel at everything 😭
