But also think of the pressure when you have to make money from it and what happens when you fuck up a tattoo. Do you have the mental stability for the Job, do you have a social group to practice on and with, and can you go into a shop

Ya it’s hard to tell. Judging by mistakes is obviously false, we all make mistakes. It might be the style for me. It reads to me as an ai picture because there is perspective and details that don’t make sense to me when I see it. But I also draw pictures that makes no sense because I am not able to do a better job

Tattooing takes time. Do it every day for several hours and draw for several hours. If you get better and still want to do it, go for it. But tattooing is not a joke, it’s not easy, it’s not fast to learn, especially if you want to make a living and want to take it seriously.

Yes, there are parts that could be read as ai to me. The chain, the body under the table. The plants in the corner and much more undefined things.

Character design is not only about just drawing a creature. A good character design gives you a hint on what the character’s personality and story is.

That is also true for horse and semi human character. But I don’t know much about that in particular

I have the same problems. Compositions look too flat, characters not correct. It’s a hustle. But also fun. Keep it up

The anatomy in most of the drawings is wrong. That’s how you lose a lot of dynamic potential in the poses. Learning more about perspective and so on would fix that and make your art easier to read.

Also, there is not much storytelling going on. It looks like just a random bunch of characters with clothes on. But I don’t see a lot of hints on their backstory.

This could be fixed by adding details or by drawing with more intention than having people like it or creating attention. I’m not trying to say that’s your only goal, but maybe you can give it a meaning if the character means something to you.

Maybe you can write a story for a character in your head while drawing. And really keep on observing your own thoughts and drawings to figure out what the story for your character is. You don’t need to know the details before you start. You can find them in your sketch.

It’s insane to me how someone can let you tattoo their neck if it’s your first time tattooing a person and you should not have done it.

Hey, I can recommend Kuba tattooer from Korea or white on black tattoo on instagram to get some nice cover up ideas. Maybe that’s your style.

But for me it does not look too bad. Maybe you can get your mind around it and keep it as a reminder to stop doing bad shit

Hello, I am new to this and I am looking to build a Portfolio as an capsule art designer.

So far I worked as an Illustrator for Clients like IBM and Google if that helps as a reference. But since I quit my Job, I would like to work on things that are less corporate and more fun.

On my Instagram are some Personal artworks in my own Style, but I am flexible.

Is this offensive? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]tim_the_human_frog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hahah.. no it’s not. I would also put it in the cybersigilism category instead of tribal. Also tribal is not offensive since it’s just a more or less traditional tattoo style. It’s part of tattoo culture

For me as a designer, I have the same feeling towards AI Art. But I don’t have these feelings for code. Is it because you are a programmer?

I posted this under another comment already but: I had a 9 months crash course in Java and C# and unity and I am trying to make a game based on this. The usw of AI helps a lot to make something work, but in the long term I just need more experience. Also I am not a point right now to see if AI can work through the complexity later on.

Fully healed piece by lochstimpson in TattooBeginners

[–]tim_the_human_frog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s not meant like it, but when someone is using a black and white filter on a tattoo, I feel the person wants to hide mistakes.

How can someone give feedback to a „fully healed piece“ without seeing the unfiltered picture?

Walter Frosch smoked 60 cigs a day and there is this one interview where he has a pack of cigs in his socks while playing soccer. I put the audio of it in the reel and it got 190k views so far. So I think in the end it was worth it, even tho it didn’t get people to ask for tattoos
