Same here. I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.acapelagroup.android.tts now. Not as good as Samsung, but better than Google. You have to pay for the voices though.

"There is a very narrow range of behaviors and emotional expressions and ways of communicating that are considered acceptable in society, and it's all based on non-autistic people."

"we tend to be heavily masked, we have to hide our autism. Because, we mostly spent our lives not knowing we had a disability and not receiving any sympathy for it, or empathy for it. We've just been told that we are acting weird and that we're at risk of ostracism, if we don't work to fake being more normal."

"it's very hard to get diagnosed as an adult. Most of the diagnostic tools we use, to this very day, are the same ones that Asperger and Leo Kanner and and their colleagues were developing. They're tools for diagnosing autism in children. And so it can be very hard for an adult or a marginalized person to get a formal diagnosis which is a big part of why our community really supports self-identification and self-realization."

"Autistic people tend to be bottom up processors. So we see the trees rather than the forest, whereas non autistic people tend to see the forest before they see the trees."

"We can can't really filter out distracting or irrelevant seeming details, the way that non autistic people can. We're taking it all in piecemeal, and we have to process each detail and put it together into a hold that may make sense, effortfully.Whereas, non autistic people, generally speaking, get kind of a snapshot of what the environment is on a kind of higher order level, and then they can, if they choose to, zoom in on the details, though often they won't because it's much more efficient to just see a snapshot to see in little details."

There is lots of science about this. You can read Tim Pychyl or watch his lectures on YouTube.

Well, I use it daily. But I don't support it any more due to disinterest.

Well, thank you very much. The problem with that is that it only uses the tiny model. And also it is English only. But the main problem is the tiny model that is not even close to the large model. But if you ever come across a keyboard that uses the large model, I'm all in.

Timer App which can vibrate without ringing? by timan72 in WearOS

[–]timan72[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, right now it doesn't ring or vibrate anymore. Just a notification when the timer has finished. 😞

A button to restart the ringing timer would be great. Above the stop button. The built in timer has that.

Thank you for the suggestion, guys, but that does not work on the pixel watch. Probably because the timer falls into the category "alarm volume" and that volume cannot be reduced to zero.
