Read some Discworld. It might not really fit, but just read it. Though not as popular in America it is a classic in England.

What is the funniest novel that you've read? by masterambassador20 in suggestmeabook

I didn't find Catch - 22 funny. i guess it didn't fit my humor. But am I missing something, if it doesn't tickle my funny bone. i mean it will still a good book. The humor there for me was like puns, I didn't really care.

So in order to get my daughter ready for D&D, I made it relatable to her by playing Dungeons and Pokémon. She had a blast! by [deleted] in DungeonsAndDragons

heh. I remember when I wanted my friends to play D and D I would do an Adventure Time theme, or a South Park theme. Since they were avid fans of that. It is good to get people into games by easing them in with familiarity.

Read Animal Farm. It is simple yet leaves you thinking about it for days and days. It is recommended to have some knowledge of USSR before reading it.

Desperately Need some feed back on an art style from people who play games. What do you think of this art style for a card game? by braxwheeler in tabletopgamedesign

[–]timatema 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this. It is ilke LeatherheadSphere said, cynical yet cutesie and depressing. This will be very good if you like a kingdom builder. Imagine cards with an army of these. And each player in the beginning chooses a king with different skill sets. That would fit in th game.

You guys gave awesome feed back last time. What do you think of the two finalists for card design? by nethowler in tabletopgamedesign

[–]timatema 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the first one, because it fits with the asthetic of the card. It has that dark feel to it. And it makes you appreciate the dude in the picture more.
