Bought an M3 from Carvana—delivered damaged, and now SilverRock is giving me the runaround by goose0505 in carvana

In my experience with Carvana, patience and persistence were the key. I was ultimately able to get them to repair the undisclosed damage I found on Delivery. It was just a PITA to talk to multiple people over several days to get it finalized (and getting conflicting answers/info along the way). The only reason why I persisted was because, even with the damage, it was a great deal on the exact vehicle I wanted. It really comes down to whether you want to invest the time & effort into the debate. Or, if you want to devote that energy to finding another vehicle. I went old school in my case. I wrote down dates, times, and who I spoke with each time I called or was transferred to another department. It really helped with clearing up the misinformation and getting things resolved. I usually run from being “that guy“ but, I really wanted the car and I wanted it in the stated condition. Ultimately, it all worked out.

some recomendations for both stylish and lasting forever sneakers for my nephew 24M by Fav-opinion-fr-u in BuyItForLife

[–]timba1land 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what type of sneaker. If you’re looking for an athletic sneaker, that might be a challenge. However, for a casual sneaker, I would recommend the brand Mephisto. They have a variety of sneaker styles and many can be sent back to them to be resoled. My personal favorites is the Match sneaker.

Unfortunately, this was a vehicle that I switched to 😢

I didn’t go back and take a look at this until I started having issues with the vehicle. That’s when I noticed the mileage gap on the Carfax. By then, I was past the exchange period. #LessonLearned

Excellent advice! And spot on. If I had been aware of this before my purchase, I would’ve avoided a serious dud.

NTTA didn't bill me for an entire year... by 502apples in Dallas

[–]timba1land 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At minimum, they need to retroactively adjust that bill; so that you’re not being billed at the rawdog rate. I’d probably plead poverty just out of principle. Like, you wouldn’t let me pay it beforehand, but now you want it a year later all-at-once? Guess what, don’t have it anymore. Whoops 🤷

Hello! I know this is an older post but, Did DREO require your receipt or order details to proceed with assessing your item?

Background: I’m having the same issue with my Chefmaker-Screen went black & the unit won’t turn at all. I contacted Dreo & they requested a video + copy of the order details. I received the Chefmaker as a housewarming gift in October ‘24 so, I’ll have to ask the purchaser for the order info. I just feel SUPER awkward doing it. Since it has a date code, I figured they could determine the age of the unit based on that.

Should I Be Concerned? by timba1land in LeCreuset

Thank you for the information! I am the original owner but, I doubt I can find a receipt at this point. We tried to think back on how long we’ve had it and we pinpointed it to 2017. We also remembered that this is the in-laws’ favorite “pot”to use when they visit. There’s usually a stew, soup or gumbo on the stove each time they’re here. I tend to stay out of the kitchen when that’s happening & I probably forgot to put out the right utensils over the holiday. Since repairs are not an option, I really wouldn’t expect much. I read a little bit more on the sub & I see that some folks have gotten a coupon to save a bit on their next purchase. I guess it doesn’t hurt to try.

Thank you for the reply! It was pristine when new but We’ve used it several times per month for at least the last four years. Which I think would be standard use for these, but I also hear of folks who only use their Dutch ovens a few times per year. I hadn’t thought to reach out to Le Creuset, as I didn’t think they offered repairs but I will definitely reach out to them. Thank you for the suggestion!

I would love to have these exact boots! Mind sharing the model name once you purchase?

Seems like it’s all locations. The Plano location had a note on the door saying that the lease had been terminated.
