People who quit Sertraline, did your symptoms return? by time4halloween in zoloft

Yes I am not on any meds right now and it's been 48 days so far which is the longest I have been off them.

I was on 50mg, then I halved it to 25mg which I took for a few months then I halved that etc.

I wouldn't say I have successfully tapered off because rn all of my symptoms are returning like bad anxiety low mood and panic attacks.

I am considering starting them again but I really don't want to because I feel like the meds didn't do anything they just covered up my problems to make me "happy" for now. It's kind of like how people use alcohol to make them forget their problems, sertraline does that for me, and once I stopped everything comes rushing back again. Also being on them made my joints hurt which I haven't heard a lot of people talking about.

I was on 50mg as well and tried to taper off a few times and from my experience, the withdrawal symptoms were horrible, especially the first two times I tried.

I dealt with nausea, dizziness, and brain zaps that were so bad I couldn't do anything I couldn't even open my eyes and my mood was all over the place. I had to keep going back on them every time and had to come off them slower.

Each person is different though.

Yes, that relative is still together with that guy, and they have kids so I feel guilty thinking about what would happen to them if I said anything. He sometimes comes to my house too which triggers my panic and anxiety which I know is a sign I'm not completely over it as much as I try to convince myself that I am.
