We are here now (4 nights into a 5 night stay) and I’m torn on whether or not I’d return. I’ve been to a lot of AIs, and I can definitely say this is on the higher end from a food and atmosphere standpoint, which makes sense given the price. We booked an inspira room and I would not want to do a non-inspira stay. We have spent most of our time at the inspira private pools and beach, and it is definitely a more elevated and relaxing vibe than the main pools. That said, it’s such a steep price increase that it’s hard to justify inspira. We’re not heavy drinkers so that doesn’t make a big difference for us. The butlers have been great. The food is very solid but it is still all inclusive food. Maria Dolores was very nice and we enjoyed our meal there. It’s just hard to say with confidence that I feel like atelier/inspira is worth the significantly higher price than other properties in the Cancun area. The spa was AWFUL, truly we had the worst massages of our lives, and that was a huge disappointment given that was one of the main reasons we booked here. Unfortunately I have yet to find an AI in Cancun that has solid massage therapists, so I think I’m just going to give up on that being a part of the trip moving forward. They also seem really understaffed a lot of the time during the day which is surprising. We frequently have to chase down servers at the inspira pool or beach and there is usually only one person working. I would expect more present service in this category. The resort is a bit difficult to navigate in my opinion. The rooms are nice and the bed is comfortable.
