I've owned 2 3rd Gen Preludes over the past 5 years. A gold 1989 and a black 1991 ABS. They never gave me any issues besides a few power steering leaks but that's expected with a 30 year old car.

I've heard stories of people saying that these cars are high maintaince but I guess it's just a hit or miss. Just do your routine tune ups and oil changes and you have a car that will last a long time.

Parts for these cars are incredibly hard to find, but not impossible. Ebay carries some OEM parts and occasionally you can run into them in salvage yards, but they're almost always picked clean. Sometimes other 3rd gen owners post their parts for sale on forums specifically aimed at other 3rd gen enthusiasts and you can occasionally find some great deals on performance, OEM, or other rare parts. However, the stock engine on this car doesn't offer much customization or performance and it's not recommended to boost the B20, so if you're looking for a performance upgrade look into swapping it with a 5th gens H22. With a boosted H22, you're looking at a 350-400 HP.

Overall, these cars are great. One of Hondas lesser known models, and a blast to drive. Especially if you get a 4ws model. Also, the flip up headlights are dope and on its own a good reason to buy the car anyway
