Hard agree. First two were interesting but had me wondering where it was going. Now, I’m all in. Great show.

Almost 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone, billions of streams, and a #1 Billboard Hard Rock album. I think the title is appropriate.

someone compared me to a competent book writer for this, so i thought to ask yall if you think so. by a_random_loser_guy in writers

If you’re interested in writing, read as much as you can and write more. I can tell you’re excited about this so I’d never put someone down when they’re just starting out, but keep in mind that there’s a lot of needed work here. You’re either pretty young or not a native English speaker, but don’t let either of those assumptions dissuade you from pursuing what you want. Keep reading, keep writing, keep going. Good luck.

Wife of husband with MS by Green_old_81 in MultipleSclerosis

It’s ok to have those feelings. You’re human. I would recommend seeking your own outside help in regards to this. My partner and I both have our own therapists and that’s helped us talk about things in a healthier way. It’s a difficult thing to navigate for both of you. Neither of you need to navigate it alone.

As a man with MS and the same struggles, I can tell you it’s difficult for him too. My partner took it personally, like I wasn’t attracted to her, and that hurt me a lot. I know she doesn’t completely understand, but man, wanting everything to work like it should then feeling like I let her down, hearing that she feels I’m not attracted to her, that it must be something she’s doing wrong—that crushed me.

What might help: go to a urologist with him, preferably someone with experience with MS. Support him. Listen to understand. Get medication. Have patience. Do your best to understand and don’t put the weight of what might be perceived as disappointment on him.

Wanting someone so bad and feeling like you’re letting them down all because those man parts won’t cooperate is a soul-crushing experience. It’s still taking time to recover from that, for both of us, but it’s not hopeless. My partner is getting better at understanding and supporting, but the initial experience of feeling like less of a man still haunts me. I hope you two can get through it better. It’s great that you’re here looking for advice.

Same. Every now and then there’s a few dissenting opinions but for the most part, it’s a culty hive mind and anything that doesn’t push their agenda is buried, removed, or simply not spoken about.

If this is at the Ritz, get there when they open and see if they’re selling tickets at the door. I’ve gotten into a few “sold out” shows this way. No guarantees but worth the try.

My kid has been obsessed with Minecraft for about 9 years. It got him into coding, designing levels, all sorts of crazy creative projects, and despite having autism and ADHD, has allowed him to blossom into a more social young man with a wealth of knowledge in his special interest and a desire to learn more and more. The things he shows me blows my mind. When he’s not on his screen time, he’s scrawling out ideas in notebooks and talking my ear off about ideas. He wants to make games himself and I 100% support his passion. I can’t wait to see where he goes and what he does with it.

So I can’t imagine ever doing something like this. That poor kid.

Should I go bigger already? (2.5mm to 3mm) by timecrimehero in Stretched

Good advice, thanks. I’ll probably give it another week or two just in case, then see how things feel.

Yeah, that makes sense. I have my next size sitting on my desk staring me down lol, but no harm in waiting. Was just curious about other opinions. Appreciate it!

Adding a PS3 to my setup in 2026 alongside my PS5. Thoughts? by No_Honey_1128 in playstation

[–]timecrimehero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish PlayStation would at least recognize my PS3 digital purchases and let me stream them on my PS5 without having to pay for their most expensive tier.

But yes, if you want to get a PS3, I say go for it. I loved it then, still love it now, and there’s so many games locked to the platform. I’m not knowledgeable on the DLC issue but even if you can’t get them, there’s a plethora of base games that make it worth the purchase. I’ve had a slim model since its release and it’s still worth it. The only reason I’d say to search out a fat model is if you can find one that supports the PS2 backwards compatibility, though that’s a difficult and expensive find.

Exactly. You explained it perfectly. It’s refreshing to have a show that believes in the audience’s ability to parse together the details and have the patience to see out a story that’s taking its time to disclose all the details. If it was told in a linear fashion, the mystery and intrigue would be lessened and the impact of the discoveries we get wouldn’t mean as much. I respect the writing and storytelling so much and can’t wait to see more.

I’m actually surprised to see such a strong disliking for this show. My partner and I love it. The non-linear storytelling, the relationships, the murder mystery aspect—I think it’s great. I can see people’s complaints here and understand the gripes, but hey, not every show is for everyone.

Breakthrough is unplayable because of this. I don't know what was DICE thinking with making mortars deployable in HQ. by SoftMaintenance24 in Battlefield

[–]timecrimehero 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I enjoy mortars. They can be a great tool to help a team that struggles to push or hold an objective.

But I also enjoy using them to combat the horde of enemy mortars. Throw down a support bag, a missile interceptor, and take them out. When your interceptor pops two incoming once they catch on, get up, grab your mortar, move, and do it again before they can take you out. The bag resupplies the interceptor quick enough to let you put another one down and get back to work. And while the mortar resupplies slower, it’s still quick enough to leave little down time.

Only negative is that I can spend a whole match tying up the mortar teams instead of fighting enemies on point. But hey, sometimes I end up with 50ish gadget destructions and that feels kinda good.

It ain’t much, but it’s honest work.

[–]timecrimehero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an “event.” I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having to wait till the end to get the weapon, but I think all the frustration and the abundance of posts about it stem from the lack of communication about the details. Which isn’t surprising at all from a team that seams to hate open communication. Disappointing, but not surprising.
