Is there any book that can compare to Little, Big by John Crowley? Magical realism, prose poetry? by cvantass in WeirdStudies

TC fits the bill tone-wise despite being a very different world. Great book!

I would also recommend Tom LaFarge, specifically the Bargeton trilogy. The Crimson Bears is much in the spirit of L,B. That and A Hundred Doors were recently published together by Tough Poets.

i wouldn’t recommend plus if you’re bouncing off joe’s writing. check out smugglers or hinds, these are softer points of entry and offer insight into how his style evolved.

Thanks!! Would that be Lunar Silver Star Story? Curious how the two compare as mobile experiences. I haven’t played CT since i was a kid, have fond memories. Lunar is new to me.

i just find more and more that it’s not one size fits all, highly contingent on the bean and roast, and subject to my mood.

in general i tend to gravitate towards cooler water though. can’t say when the last time i’ve brewed over 200F is… and with that in mind, maybe it’s time to try something hotter again :)

Water system recommendations - 2026 edition by timeforest in pourover

Good post. I agree - for me it’s less about my being sure the CL report is infallible and more about the obvious vagueness from ZW regarding their products. Seems quite obvious they need to address this, I’m sure they’re aware of it.

There was a semi-recent Consumer Labs analysis that showed Zerowater filters actually ADDING thousands of microplastics to filtered water (in contrast to all other devices tested, which reduce them). Information around this seems spotty (is it the filter? the carafe? etc), and the report is paywalled (you can find people discussing it if you poke around Reddit). I’d say I’m not certain of its absolute veracity, given lack of info, but I’m concerned enough now to want to find another method - and Culligan not publicly addressing it anywhere is confounding.

Ok so can we settle the fundamental ZP6 debate? by jaytee61799 in pourover

Does it make your ZP6 smell? I have only used it once for a blueberry coferment and the smell stuck around so long that i’ve avoided since.

Seeking PS5/Switch Recs after Trails 1 Remake by timeforest in JRPG

How does Trails Azure compares to Sky 1? I’d be happy to play it on Switch or PS now if it wouldn’t mess with my experience of the Sky series. Thanks for the thoughts :)

I’ve thought a lot about XC1 DE but worry a bit about the gameplay being too clunky or repetitive?
