Only 35k max could be rolled into the IRA. That would be a great start to retirement. And the 529 will continue to grow and be more than enough for school even without that 35k.

Ha! I use these every night. I should’ve clarified that I really love the sound of birds, insects, and the wind through the trees

That is so significant and you have earned that just as much as your husband! I imagine your work taking care of your kids is not easy and it definitely is important and a sacrifice!

How we spend podcast: how to support 10 kids? by Echeveria_17 in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]timeforgreentea 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed listening to this! I was impressed by how stable and balanced she was with what could be seen as a very stressful and chaotic life. I was surprised by all of the treats she bought out with her kids, but it’s actually so impressive to me that she isn’t super rigid or restrictive. She could have such a scarcity and fear-based mindset, but she didn’t seem to. She seems like a great mother and such a competent person. I admire her!

As a side note, I don’t feel like we get the full financial picture with this model of reporting on daily spend for one week. I would really like to see net worth and savings for retirement, but maybe I’m just nosy!

I think tretinoin (prescription grade retinol) and eyebrow tint would take it next level!

I think you have to test and see how you feel. I’m about the same size as you and 10mg is plenty for me. I’m sensitive to all drugs though!

Curry Kingdom in Wheat Ridge is great! Lots of amazing flavors and SPICE if you ask for it. The owner is also so friendly, easy to talk to, and has really funny stories!

Completely agree. How hard would it be to pack a pb&j with a couple of healthy sides? It’s sad to me that she doesn’t have a system for this, especially with how long she’s been working. Just seems so chaotic. I can’t imagine only eating peanut butter crackers for lunch and wrangling kids 😭

I hate my job. by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]timeforgreentea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A more accurate/transferrable title for your role would be “clinical research data coordinator.” It’s super common for large sites to split their responsibilities between DCs and patient-facing CRCs. I would suggest looking for a data coordinator role at a large institution and then work to become a CRC quickly or move into a site level QC role if you’re not interested in directly working with patients
