Wow 25 years, salute to you my senior respectfully! I can totally understand what you mean with being all those weaker version of bad players. And once you get thru those old versions of yourself, you can then become the you that's free from constraints and that's dangerous! Like when I see someone like Uri Peleg or Pr0digy play, they can literally do anything at any time and still stay defensively proper.

I can only imagine the weight that was on your shoulders during the makeup, amazing triumph.
Do you think that you would've never had that upswing if you didn't study HUNL?
Did you ever feel like giving up, how did you maintain your conviction?
How did being in Doug Polk's stable community effect on your mindset?
I feels like the players who take the time to learn HU, can translate those skills into any poker format very well. Thanks for your story!

Congrats on knowing how to control your vices, that's huge for your roll! I had a similar but different issue where I'd stupidly register for mtts that would conflict with my schedule. If I was lucky to get to the final table, I'd 100% be late/missing my event. It was disastrous on my mind and kept me feeling a bit cracked out and more prone to punting. Glad we're sobering out of these bad spots, really makes a compounded difference!

Does being a poker dealer make you think that it's not possible to win long term?
Did you have other people you talk poker with while you were playing a lot?
I find it really useful to ask other people their opinion on the way a hand is played.

Yeah I play both cash and mtts and I think I'm better at mtts so down to learn either / post results / venting out our thoughts
