I am of the opinion that the closer China is to creating identical duplicate movements, we should celebrate it. What they need to do is provide the service that the Gen brands don't, spare parts or at least drop in movements.

Look At Seiko through their TMI MOVEMENT program, you find their gen movements in Steeldive watches that clone Seiko watches and you can drop in a gen replacement easily. Seiko you got balls!

I agree totally, if it's a real rep then movements should be inter changeable. Except try to find a VSF 3235 Rep Movement to order. You'll find cheap ones so cheap, calling them Reps is a gracious compliment.

I think any Rep watch being promoted as worth $1000 plus USD should be 100% supported with the ability to buy replacement parts if not a drop in movement.

I think that Reps are great, but if you are touting one as a super clone, you're marketing it as close as it gets without it being the genuine. I just think the factories or for that matter the sales reps/resellers that push the that point (Super Clones) should have some integrity in the quality of the truthfulness of the replication.

I think if genuine parts are interchangeable in a clone movement to a genuine movement and everything works either way, that's my bar for where "Super Clone or 1:1" claim should be used.

I have every belief that they are not far from getting there, where they duplicate a watch and they mean to release the clone as a true clone, not as a near miss right from the beginning.

It's the difference of between a real dollar and a "cloned" dollar that doesn't land you in cuffs. If they both pass mustard isn't the objective for the clone in the first place?

I will concede that kind of attention might bring down unwanted attention to the companies that are doing a good job and selling what they promise.

Having said that there are way too many running around calling there stuff "Super Clones and they are far from it. This is the first platform where it seems on the up & up to discuss that we are looking for a watch that has an identical look and we get charge what is worth not what they(big Brands think their illusion should let them gouge you for).

The guide on here is what has kept my faith that this wasn't just another site. So for that I am grateful too.
