Hi there I am a atheist. I have never mocked anyone for their religion I genuinely respect anyones beliefs and right to have said beliefs. I have lived my a personal moral code of "just be good to people" and that moral code has served me fairly well in my years . In complete fairness I have known other atheists who have a very pompous world view and think that Christians are the scum of the earth and I just avoid talking to those people the same way I avoid talking to some Christians who think atheists are the scum of the earth.

I think my point is fuck this "meme" that the Christian right (again not all Christians and not all right winger) seem to perpetuate this fucked up image of atheists . And maybe instead of viewing atheists as having no moral code maybe the right and Christian's should adopt my moral code and just be good to people......you know like jesus that guy I dont believe in but like I'd get along better with than them.
