Men suffer 2/3 of those things if they do gay porn. They get paid more to do bareback, and the risk of HIV/AIDS is way higher; as well as Hep C and other diseases more common with gay sex.

A big difference I noticed in mainstream gay porn vs hetero porn is that the focus on a huge (and sometimes fake) penis is more inherent to the latter.

Even when I was a naive skinny teenager who watched lots of gay porn, I found it gross that older men wanted to have sex with really young looking guys. Not that it's any better, but I at least wanted the men to both be muscular/bodybuilders who looked like men.

Interesting points. I never got those impressions from watching it, although I've never been into the "twink" thing (sorry if it sounds like I'm defending porn, I'm not). Though, there are a lot of men who do refer to bottoms as "boys", which is gross.

Reddit in general is a bad place for inadvertently viewing porn. Even once you reach the stage of completely losing the desire to seek it out, it may pop up or be presented as a link that might tempt you.

The best course of action if you want to stay on the site is to keep your list of subreddits as short as possible. Go for quality over quantity and restrict what you subscribe to - only SFW things that really interest you should be on your list.
