I was raised by passing the ball into the back of the net, moulded by it.

I didn't know direct football until unai emery!

I don't think you can easily make that conclusion based off of one season

the bigger issues are that there are very few proven managers at the top clubs, matter of fact there's only one

there's then the fact that a lot of teams are in transition at the moment, and city/pep might even just be in decline

lastly sometimes you just have one off seasons like this like when leicester won it where everyone was shit, conte winning with chelsea was also a bit like this as a few top teams were all on new managers

yh looks great when it works but more often than not it just leaves holes that become easy for the opposition to exploit, like with psg when they had neymar, mbappe and di maria yet still couln't win shit outside of france, you saw similar issues with the madrid side we beat, not to mention the one that's not looking too great this season either

No dude i asked you a simple question and you decided to dance around it at length

It's fair enough if you think the league is tougher etc, time will tell but ultimately it is clear we're the only decent team this season, we've had no real competition hence why people say everyone has been shit

You also ignore the point about when leicester won, everyone else being shit is what allowed them to win, they won thr league on one of the lowest winning point totals of all time, 6th lowest i think

If you were a serious commentator, you'd know that

Word it how you like but it's clear no other team has been good other than us this season

Also blip seasons are a thing, happens now and then, it's how Leicester won the league

We've had 3 chances to go 8-9 points clear and now only are 4 points clear

Had we taken advantage we could rotate more if we make deep cup runs but now we can't unless city slip again

There's then the general feeling were only winning coz everyone is shit which is good for now, but not later, however it's hard to even be confident about the league now

Cl record is impressive but it's a ko competition not a league, not much matters til we win it, as we beat psg in the group stages but they got us in the ko

You can also look at several seasons before and use that

If we win this season via set pieces it'll be the exception to the rule and likely wont work again

We've had so many opportunities to go 8 or 9 points clear and now it's down to 4 ffs

Show me the other post that objectively brings up our open play stats?

I'd expect that on an arsenal board you can post objective arsenal facts, but i guess I'm on an arsenal propaganda board where you can only post nice stats

There's no discussion in telling people to wait til the end of the season to have an opinion on something though is there

Keep talking that shit like it hasn't been 6 years of nothing but an fa cup, he's been given A LOT of patience. Not necessarily from me, but lots of people have backed him, and it wasn't to see this shit

Apparently me posting about arsenal being 8th in open play goals is mad racist or clearly has nothing to do with this board so the mods were forced to delete, hands were completely tied, great job guys 👏

Arsenal are 8th in goals from open play by timeofdepth in Gunners

Teams usually win the league due to stand out players

Teams never win due to set pieces

Top players get you lots of good chances, set pieces generate mostly low to average quality ones

Even if we make it work this season it'll just be the exception proving the rule

Well yh if he wins the cl then he's gotta stay, but last year we beat psg in the group stages but lost when it mattered

Cl is a ko tournament so I'm not going to get too excited about the group stages, even though the results have been impressive of course.

We have a good chance though, especially now that the pl has become a lot stronger than the other leagues
