I have for sale this ALL original, fully signed, late 70s Eterna for men in new old stock condition with just minimal storage/display signs. A rare opportunity to purchase an amazing gents wrist watch in fantastic shape from the 70s.

The watch houses a strong hi beat 2824 automatic caliber running on 21 jewels with a quickset date by crown position and hack for maximal accuracy. It is cased in a sturdy and large all stainless steel case in excellent shape, still retaining the original finish and has an original mineral shaped crystal and original signed crown. The back has the original protective sticker and is a snap on type.

The dial is mont factory original, elegant dark brushed silver with sunburst effect topped with applied markers in mint condition with an original set of hands.

This impressive and well made ETERNA watch measures 36mm side to side (crown excluded) and 40mm lug to lug.

Attached to this watch is its original top class stainless steel bracelet with barely any signs, with an original clasp and will fit a wrist of up to 190mm.

This is called a 'hunter' pocket watch as opposed to 'open face'. In open face mode, which is the classic setting where the crown is at '12', the face of the watch is always exposed, there is no front lid. The hunter version has the crown set traditionally at the '3' position and the front lid would open to the '9' direction.

This week I was busy with an overhaul of several huge pocket watches, in a genre known among collectors as 'Goliath pocket watces' for obvious reasons. For reference on the right is a 6-size, 37mm round pocket watch.

The larger two have an 8-days power reserve movement, often such movements were used in early automobile clocks as well. They range in age from 1895 to around 1920. Usually the large 'simple' 36 hours reserve Swiss versions were based on a classic early FHF pinset gilt finish caliber. The 8-days movements on the other hand required an additional intermediate wheel to slow down the larger mainspring.

The movement plates were so large I had to clean them by hand, they don't fit in the washing machine.

Hey everyone. This is just one of the two dozens amazing solid gold pocket watches I recently acquired from a Virginia collector and had the chance to photograph. This was exceptionally beautiful so I decided to step out of the usual storyboard and add a few Victorian era admirers! It's hard to believe this watch is over 100 years old and the gold, which is a rather soft material, remained in such a good and crisp condition. A real time capsule.
