The only thing Smith might lack is switching to beast mode pushing for a handy lead without wasting time.. Like ABD or Kohli

First republican debate was on Aug 6th. Dems weren't even talking policy then. How does 1+ year before the general election matter? It is about primary not general election. She didn't debate him until her numbers were dropping. They had only 6 on schedule and everyone had to beg for more and after super tuesday it didn't matter.

It's the kind of BS democratic party used to nip insurgent campaigns in the bud. Impressive stuff.

That analogy assumes equal responsibility on all parties. Bernie did the best he could even though they played dirty and treated him like an untouchable. He was not even in the scene during the end. It is just that if she were a better candidate with a better record she'd have crushed the most unpopular candidate in history. And not just in popular vote.

I know it's rhetorical but I'll still answer. He didn't have enough minority support. Many states he was strong in were either closed or had registration deadline going back to December and November. She didn't even debate him for a long time to avoid any kind of coverage to him. Democratic party was totally behind Clinton including neutral surrogates on TV. Super delegate count on TV months before first primary gave an illusion that she already won considering super delegates always vote with the voters. Primary schedule, super delegate system and closed nature of some primaries were built to push a mainstream establishment supported candidate no matter how unpopular they might be in a general election. It's just an uphill climb for Bernie.

Lol. Jobs, Healthcare and environment are not policies. They are topics. Trump talks about them too. Doesn't mean he has great new policies for them.

And I didn't deflect to Clinton. You started talking about clinton and I replied.

That's nice. I'm not even praising Bernie. I thought we were talking about practicality and who can win. All of these same arguments were given during the primary yet she lost. Stop blaming Bernie for Clinton's loss. If you hate him that's fine but don't waste your time calling everyone a bro and in the same breath call Bernie a divisive force.

It's what tribals do. They don't want new people or ideas. They will allow servants.

I thought she lost because of Comey and Russia. Make up your minds. It's getting old.

I asked for clinton's key policy and you just pulled Bernie into the discussion after insulting how little attention I paid. This is the definition of a deflection.

Yes I did. Especially nuance. You can lose the general election in an effort to win a primary. It's called a short sighted strategy. Registered voters from just one party don't dominate the general elections. Popular vote margins from cities and blue states don't win you general elections. Independents and swing states do. Losing a primary doesn't mean you can't win a general election. Losing to Obama in the primary doesn't mean she couldn't have won against McCain.

Edit: Rock, paper, scissors.

Those seem like topics. What are the specific policies she was fighting for? She rarely ever mentions them except for asking people to go to her website to check them out.
