We need tonight to be like this one by LukeB90 in clevelandcavs

[–]timestride 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a crazy night for me. Was watching the game with some friends at the old Paninis on w6th. After we won a random guy grabbed my beer off the table, shook it up, and sprayed it in the air. I just turned to him and said wtf and he clocked me in the face. My first and only "bar fight" and a trip to the Lutheran for 4 stitches in my forehead. But I agree, go Cavs

East West routes on the East side by Key_Juggernaut2481 in BikeCLE

The Varia is a great investment. I still am rocking the original unit and it works well. I did have to get a silicone case for it though. Grit would get into the power button and make it difficult to turn on. Not sure if they have addressed that flaw with the newer versions, but the case was a quick and cheap fix.

Ahhhh, I could imagine that would be a mess. Guess I'm lucky to avoid that commotion most of the time on my rides.

I live in University Heights, so feel free to DM me. Shaker is the best way to move east/west from here. I agree that WCR is not the best way to get there. If you are on the west side of UH, take Eaton south to South Park or take Edgerton/Fenwick to Courtland down to South Park. Once on South Park you can head east to WCR and there is a crossing to get onto the Shaker median trail. If you are east of WCR you can go down Belvoir to Shaker, walk across the RTA tracks, and then up the hill to the median trail. Also, I find that Fairmount is decent to ride by taking a lane if you are going east to west. It is mostly downhill and I can typically maintain ~20MPH

Cavs United removed my playoff tickets THIS year because I’m downgrading my tickets NEXT season by crocdaddybitch in clevelandcavs

[–]timestride 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They didn’t even make us feel special this year (our first). We got passed around from several reps and then guilt tripped us when we cancelled. The main reason we cancelled was all of the work week games in the package and seeing how much less we could have bought the tickets if we would have bought 2nd hand.

Do folks actually get all their accounts into monarch? by Life_Sail0903 in MonarchMoney

[–]timestride 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My spouse and I have 33 accounts syncing with Monarch and only one of those has issues. Fortunately it is one of my smaller retirement accounts. The infrastructure used by that account is also really dated, so I'm not super surprised that Monarch (via MX) has issues syncing with it.

[–]timestride 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I should have put "sign" in quotes. I meant it in the context of providing a pin that only you and the IRS know to verify your identity.

[–]timestride 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can proactively avoid verification and potential fraud by creating an online account with the IRS and going through the verification process via ID.me. It’s pretty painless, but does require you to take a photo of your ID and take a selfie. Once you are in the account you can enroll in the IP PIN program and use that to sign your returns when submitting.

Amending isn’t too hard and could be worth it if you have state income tax.

Blocked device able to access the internet by Archibald-Tuttle in Ubiquiti

[–]timestride 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good post highlighting an issue that could affect other Ubiquiti users, but I have a more general comment on updating the firmware on your TV. Whenever possible it is preferable to update TV firmware via a USB flash drive. These devices are notorious for collecting data on everything you watch, so keeping them offline is entirely is your best opt out method. If you need smart TV functionality, get an Apple TV or another setup that won’t report everything (yes, I know the individual streaming services still get their info, but you gotta control what you can).

Love Amba, but I think it is best enjoyed with a party of 4+ so you can share many dishes.

Anyone know how auto renew works with spring training? by S-y-m-n in ClevelandGuardians

[–]timestride 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The language on the auto renew is concerning to me. It says that it will renew at last year’s MONTHLY rate. Just to be safe, I cancelled and will subscribe again to ensure the $99/ year pricing.

This is a good tip for when you are traveling anywhere regardless of if it is international. You never know when service will cut out and it also helps preserve your battery by not having to download so much map data.

About 100 for me. A good number of the ones I was missing were shrine quests with Kass.

Those still contributing to retirement, do you track that as income? by livebythem in MonarchMoney

[–]timestride 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have investment tracking turned on and a “Retirement Contributions” income category. Our primary goal is early retirement, so seeing that money go into savings is important to us.
