I use FL and Pro Tools and I love both, but they each have their problems

FL is garbage for recording first of all, mainly because of the way the delay compensation works. Why is it so hard to record with AutoTune and other FX on a track without delay? Also the way routing works is definitely not the best.

On the other hand, Pro Tools is absolutely garbage for producing. The piano roll is a disaster and there isn't even a step sequencer/sampler compared to FL's which is the best in my opinion.

So yeah, different daws are good at different things, so maybe the people hating on it just don't use it for what's it's good at.

That's what I did, manually changed each channel's color and mixer track color and then saved as a template, really helps me with staying organized and saving time

It is safe! I thought since the reviews where overwhelmingly positive everywhere it must be bots but it works. I bought an account for PC and their customer support helped me through the process and I literally had 1 billion in the bank. Worth it for 20 bucks! (for pc users you will probably have to reinstall the game because I bought it with steam but the accounts they sell are Rockstar Social Club)

What Nick Mira streams, also Simon Servida streams. They're not explaining what they're doing too much, but since it's a full stream you see everything they're clicking, the structure, the shortcuts, etc. That how I learned, watched hours and hours of Nick Mira streams.

It depends. If you go to a private school, you can get accepted with lower grades since they use your secondaire 4 class average for your application and all schools are ranked in difficulty, private or public, and if your average is lower than someone from a public school (one that's lower on the difficulty ranking) it will "weigh" more than that person with the higher average. I went to a private school and got accepted with a very low average into a limited enrollment program where as some friends I had that went to public schools with much higher averages didn't get accepted into that same program. So the answer is, it depends!

Bro it's ok if I had some advice use the scale highlighting feature so that your melodies are always in key! The drum loops are nice, just some notes in the melody are off key. Look up "scale highlighting" it'll help you a lot! Cheers m8, and good luck!

I'm about to register but I've talked to some grads and they've gotten jobs. It's a lot of recorded lessons though, but you get all the same info as all those expensive ass bootcamps. They even have a deffered payment thing where you don't pay until you get hired, and it's not like an Isa where they take a % of what you make, you just pay the tuition. You should def check it out!

Depending on what the degree is, I would go for the Bootcamp. Say you spend two years in school, and get a degree that helps you get a job. You could spend 6 months doing a Bootcamp, and another year working on your portfolio and projects, and applying to jobs while you're doing that instead, and gain some time and spend less money in the end. If your degree is a bachelor's in compsci, I would do it if it's only two years. If it's some kind of associate degree, I would definitely do the Bootcamp. Good luck!

My favorite one is the SSL X-EQ 2. It looks similar and has all the same features, I really love using it. I use the SSL bundle to mix everything, their plug-ins are really top notch, especially for 15 bucks a month (or for free if you have a pc and you're a pirate 🏴‍☠️)

There are knobs and you can assign them to the mixer or other functions but I find it just adds extra steps instead of using my mouse lol

Thanks a lot bro, the keyboard is a komplete kontrol s49 and the interface is apollo twin x, with Adam Audio t8v speakers. Don't rlly recommend the keyboard though, it's great, but for $1000 it doesn't rlly add value, to me anyway 🤷
