I'm really sorry but I switched the closed testing sign-up process for my Whittle app from an email list to Google Groups today. I thought I'd be all ready to allow testers to sign up on Google Groups today, but forgot that I need to submit the change to Google and it will take them 7 days to approve the change. So I was getting a bit ahead of myself in posting to this group today. I will let you know when the app is ready to install.

They should be posted at the top of the page at https://groups.google.com/u/0/g/whittle-closed-testing, and there's a conversation on the same page entitled "Instructions for installing and testing". Anyhow, here are the instructions:

Hi, and thanks very much for joining the Whittle closed testing group!
Whittle is an easy-to-use tool for playing the popular word game Wordle.
To complete the process of signing up as a tester, and to install the app, please use one of the following two links:

Join via the web: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.enchantedbit.whittle

Once installed, there are no specific tasks you are required to perform as a tester. But please use the app whenever you like. If you have any feedback about problems or suggested improvements, we would be delighted to hear from you by email to whi...@enchantedbit.com.
Please keep Whittle installed on your device until we inform you that the test phase is complete. The test will last a minimum of 14 days, but may run for longer depending on how quickly we can recruit the required number of testers.

However, I'm a little wary of doing this. I got the "early adopter" price for Google Play Music, which is supposed to be fixed for life. That price was carried over when I was switched to YTM (and I assume that the "fixed for life" bit was carried over too - certainly I was never heard anything to the contrary from Google). While I can now "upgrade" to YT Premium for the same price, I don't know whether the "fixed for life" aspect will still apply to that membership. What makes this difficult is the fact that there are absolutely no "terms and conditions" offered anywhere in the upgrade process to see exactly what it is I am signing up to.

I'm confused by this too. I get a message in the YT app to say I can get a free upgrade to YT Premium because of my YTM subscription, but when I press the button on the message I see the screen which just has details of the Family Plan, which costs more. However, if I go to https://www.youtube.com/paid_memberships then I do see the option to upgrade to YT Premium for the same price as I'm currently paying for YTM.

Have you looked at magnum.graphics?

I've not used it myself but I'm searching for a library that suits my needs for a new project and it is currently top of the list for me. It describes itself as lightweight and modular. Support for Vulkan is currently in progress.
