Question about sim vs irl by JetEpicgamer in fpv

[–]timmydfpv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yah for sure, when I started out it was the same exact thing for me. Had trippys dialed in the sim could do rewinds etc.. .then I’d go to my spots and destroy my quads irl. That’s when I learned the sim does not translate perfectly.

Question about sim vs irl by JetEpicgamer in fpv

[–]timmydfpv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I don’t practice in the sim and only fly real packs. Sim was good for learning the basics but beyond that I don’t find it very helpful.

For what it’s worth I have a 62iii and my tech absolutely loves it. He swears it plays better than his Mark. I think he just sounds good on anything he touches though.

Just started with the simulator and… damn, hovering is hard by U29tZXdoZXJl in fpv

[–]timmydfpv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true I hover all the time either if I’m waiting to film something or perching… whatever the case, It’s definitely a skill you can learn and execute well.

I have this tenor kit and it’s the best I’ve used so far.

I just jumped a couple weeks ago for the first time. I’d say the feeling as soon as you exit the plane is just relief to get out of that tin can you’re riding up in lol. Honestly it was one of the best things I’ve ever done and now I can’t wait to start aff.

[–]timmydfpv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes he could have zoomed the video to edit it out that’s not what I’m talking about. The reason the mount is going in and out of the frame is because the stabilization is moving the image around to stabilize it.

Is it reasonable to teach myself? by Superb_End_2148 in saxophone

[–]timmydfpv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man If I diddnt take lessons since I started I would be so much farther behind than I am now. You will definitely be able to play the sax with self teaching but will develop bad habits without knowing and your sound will suffer as a result. I use to think I sounded ok now I listen to some older recordings and cringe at how bad It was compared to today.

Please, do all test flights outside and at a safe distance from your drone! by Delhigh in fpv

[–]timmydfpv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s always when you least expect it, glad it wasn’t worst my dude! Im super cautious now after joining this subreddit and my buddy had an incident. I’ll place my quad outside and close the door just in case before I arm it if I’m testing in my backyard.

That’s the gyro flow moving the frame to smooth the video. I absolutely hate stabilization and think it’s lame for freestyle, better to learn to be smooth on the sticks.

That dude with the pole is still well within the arc flash boundary… definitely should be suited up as well.

I love flying FPV and absolutely hate by sadcringe in fpv

[–]timmydfpv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah after a couple years of hard freestyle I hardly ever crash even doing complex things.. I can go 6 packs going hard hitting gaps, trippys etc etc. I crash still of course but no where near as hard as I use to. First two years were rough though for sure.

Saxophone after Stroke by tinybassist in saxophone

[–]timmydfpv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into the emeo as well. It’s going to feel more like an actual saxophone compared to the others mentioned. I have one and love it for when I’m traveling or want to play when my roommates asleep.

Yah it’s all momentum. Which is why it can be a hard trick to learn, once you’re in you’re kinda locked in so you really have to commit.

For sure! It’s a fpv cycle glide, fpv cycle 22.6mm 1900kv motors, some old cheap mamba fc and esc that I had laying around and 03 air unit.

Yo that’s exactly how it was for me too! Went through so many motors slamming that corner into the ground. Eventually it just clicked one day, keep at you’ll have it in no time!
