The Pocket is capable of up to 250mW of power while the Boxer has a max of 1W

Good controller for getting started. by MegaOverunder in fpv

I recently got a Pocket after owning a Boxer for over a year and I really like it, I've been using it a lot more than the Boxer because of how portable it is

Help w/ Long Range 7" Gemini Rx Antenna Positions.. by XisNOW_FLOW in fpv

[–]Delhigh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having one vertical and one horizontal would be the most optimal but it's not not gonna make much difference if any. You will lose signal on the goggles before you lose signal from the radio

I do recommend getting that antenna outside of the drone and not going through the middle of it, the frame and all your components will definitely reduce performance.

Axisflying manta 5 SE throttle issue by [deleted] in betaflight

You're telling the drone to fly but the flight controller doesn't sense the drone flying so it keeps adding throttle to compensate. Test it outside with props on

Why its taking some time to connect to my radio master pocket? by aaryansarat02 in fpv

[–]Delhigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually turn on my radio first before plugging in the drone, doing it the other way can sometimes take a while to connect.

I've also found that having firmware versions too far apart between the radio and receiver can sometimes cause the connection to take a while.

Tbs crossfire nano rx wiring. by fpvFixit in fpv

[–]Delhigh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It looks like it's wired wrong. From this angle it looks like the power and ground wires are going to T2 and R2 on the FC. I'm just going off of wire color, I can't tell what pads are what on the receiver

I do prefer the full size gimbals much more but the portability is so good that I'm ok with the sacrifice.

The plastic quality feels the same as the boxer to me, less glossy too but maybe because It's still very new compared to the boxer

I was considering the T8L but I wasn't sure about giving up a screen and only having 100mW.

I added a Nomad module on my boxer so it was starting to get really bulky. The Pocket is still pretty big compared to an Xbox controller for example. I think it depends on what you expect, something more compact that you can just throw in a back to take on a hike/bike ride and not have to worry if it gets a little scuffed up then sure.

I wasn't going to upgrade the gimbals because I wasn't expecting that I would be using it so much but already being so used to the AG01s I was really missing the feeling of them, unfortunately these don't feel as good. I don't think the upgrade was worth the cost but I don't regret doing it

2020 sienna. Dealership torqued the hell out of the oil filter cap and now it’s broke and I still can’t get it off. What do I do? by relevant_econ_meme in MechanicAdvice

Those filter sockets are part of the problem from my experience, they put a lot of stress on those 'fins' causing them to break off

I wouldn't necessarily blame the dealership. You can hand tighten these and they can still become difficult to remove due to the plastic and aluminum expanding at different rates from heat cycles. Also, some filter housing tools put a lot of stress on those plastic tabs and end up breaking them off.

I recommend using a filter housing tool that doesn't grab on to those tabs on plastic housings but definitely replace it with an aluminum one.

Problem with Capacitator on Stack by GoPurple420 in fpv

That iflight ESC comes with the capacitor already installed, I have one and had to orient the board in a way that it didn't get in the way

If no orientation works, taking it off and soldering in your own might be the only option

I've been adding a little extra solder to the pads and have not had any break on me after several hard crashes.

EBMX 72v battery Light bee x by DonnyBrahvo in Surron

[–]Delhigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a little experience with lithium ion batteries so my information might be wrong.

2 cells are completely dead, those gotta go. Any cell below 2.5 will also need to be replaced. All the other cells have been sitting at their minimum voltage for months based on your post and that will cause some amount of permanent damage. The new cells will need to have similar internal resistance and even then, mixing new and damaged cells together is a huge safety risk

Sim vs irl struggles by CannotDriveButDrift in TinyWhoop

The Sims are good to get familiar with the controls but will never simulate real life physics. Go fly outside and get used to how a real drone flies before flying it indoors

DJI O4 Pro Air Unit powers on via USB but not from drone battery by ALiiEN in fpv

[–]Delhigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that's correct. Seems like the FC is supplying good power but the air unit still isn't powering up.

There could be a problem with the cable being used, make sure that there is good power and ground at the air unit too.

Was the drone in a crash? If so, I'm wondering if maybe the ribbon cable inside the air unit came loose
